Firefox assigns a single fingerprint to multiple users. These tests are wildly inaccurate.

There is another problem I see with this approach. The OP discusses using the tool on their PC. However, this entails downloading the problematic images onto their personal computer, which could potentially pose a risk, considering the nature of the imagery that this tool aims to prevent from spreading. It's the technicality that may unnecessarily put you at risk.

In case someone actually ponders this, Mullvad means mole in Swedish.

First automatic JPEG-XL cloud service (www.gumlet.com)

JPEG 's conspicuous issues like lack of transparency, animation, lossless compression and high bit depth support makes it little tough to justify it as leading format for time to come. Various attempts like WebP and AVIF are made (and are supported on modern browsers) to overcome problems of JPEG but they all also suffer some...

Firefox has jxl support in testing on beta builds. You need to flip the jxl flag in about:config.

People might not take an applicant with such a name seriously, or think of them as unhinged for using it.

GrapheneOS supports all banks because they implemented the SafetyNet required for banking and other high-risk applications.

GrapheneOS enhances Android privacy by isolating your device's activity, providing a level of anonymity that's not found in standard iOS and Android setups. In GrapheneOS, only you, the recipient, and the cellular mast you're connected to are privy to your call information.

In contrast, with iOS and default Android, Apple and Google have visibility into all your connections. While there are many nuances to this, I hope this gives you a clearer picture.

It's indeed an issue. Several manufacturers like Xiaomi or Samsung lock their devices, which can make it quite challenging or even impossible to install custom software. Ironically, Google is the most open vendor if you're interested in customising your device.

Just fabulous! I absolutely can't wait for Facebook and the gang to graciously remove their apps from the stores. It's not like I rely on services like WhatsApp for daily communication or anything. But honestly, who wouldn't want Rishi Sunak to have a front-row seat to all our messages? It's like a dream come true, really.

They're trying to monetize the free-to-play mobile market, which is much more lucrative than a percentage of the sales. Cunning bastards.

For every paying customer, there are one thousand installations. A quick maths will tell you why they are trying so much to be paid for runtime.

In Spain, dozens of girls are reporting AI-generated nude photos of them being circulated at school: ‘My heart skipped a beat’ (english.elpais.com)

Police investigation remains open. The photo of one of the minors included a fly; that is the logo of Clothoff, the application that is presumably being used to create the images, which promotes its services with the slogan: “Undress anybody with our free service!”

It's impossible to ban AI once it's allowed for public use because technology spreads rapidly, and enforcing a ban becomes impractical due to its widespread adoption and the difficulty of regulating it effectively. But hey, if you want to make an ineffective ban that will only affect one small part of the world, irrelevant to the masses, be my guest.

The average global price of Uranium per pound, in 2022, was $40.77 USD. Let's convert it to kilograms.

2.205 pounds ~= 1 KG
2.205 * 40.77 = 89.89785 (~90 USD per KG)

In 2022, Niger supplied 20% of France's uranium.

Please note that I'm not taking sides; I was simply curious about the actual numbers, so I'm sharing them here in the hope that someone finds them interesting.

The next Sims game will be free-to-play with paid DLC (www.rockpapershotgun.com)

The next Sims game currently goes under the name Project Rene rather than The Sims 5, but that aside, we know a growing amount about EA Maxis' next social simulation. During today's latest Behind The Sims community update, they shared more, including the news that the next entry in the series would be free-to-play and without...

Paradox Interactive is known for shoving DLC up our throats. I'd keep expectations low.
