Anyone know why sh.reddit.com exists? Is it something they plan to use in future? ATM, it just looks justlike reddit.com with a few small style differences.
Like most of the other best Samsung TVs, the new 98-inch QN900C has Samsung’s Gaming Hub and Motion Xcelerator Pro. That delivers 4K at up to 120Hz, rising to 144Hz with compatible PCs. There’s also support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro as well as NVIDIA G-Sync like most of the best gaming TVs have.
Maybe someone smarter than me can explain things, but It's been about a month since I've started the process of creating a magazine to support the reddit/discord community I've helped mod for the past 4 years... but I've noticed that zero posts show up in google search....
As far as I am aware, Badges are intended to be similar to reddit's post flair system? They don't seem to do anything at the moment though.
Community moderators can set up badges but even with those in place you can't see them when making a post.
There are devices like Samsung's Xcover products that have the back cover snap into place in a way that creates a water-proof seal around the battery and components inside. It's incredibly tight and has a rubber ring.
If there is something that I can complement Reddit for, it's that the frontpage shows one or two hot posts from each of the subreddits you are subscribed to, instead of showing several from those that are more active than the quieter ones like what kbin does now.
Hopefully several instance owners collaborate on a shared blocklist that will help combat this kind of spam and implement that back into their instances.
Lemmy at least does have a slur filter in place to block certain words that could be expanded to block spam like this. I don't know if kbin has something like that or not.

The more people see the engagement, the more chance of them asking "what is that?" It won't be long until the apps are better, and links to articles could be less likely to get suppressed than migration memes....
I love chiptunes so I decided to get the ball rolling with a Lemmy chiptune community. I'm not highly accomplished in the field of chiptunes, but I have been into it since about 2010 and have released a couple of albums....
I can see that working well as long as awards don't affect the placement of comments and posts. Have it just show a icon next to the comment or post like a reaction.
If magazines can have custom award icons that'd add some charm to the feature.
I understand not liking overzealous filters but I would like a feature to allow blacklisting words in magazines, otherwise you're going to get people shouting slurs at others and getting away with it until a moderator comes to clean it up.
The reddit blackout is even more effectivte than expected! 5177/8829 (~60%) of subreddits are still dark [1] and the posts per minute are down to 1000 from 1400 [2]....

Do you miss phones with replaceable batteries? By 2027, you won't anymore because, by law, almost every smartphone will have them again.
