Ah, seems I misclicked. This was in response to @kadu because I personally prefer kbin over Lemmy for a variety of reasons. I do agree we should grow both rather than devolve into tribalism.
I love the idea of kbin, but I've found the UX could be improved. Honestly, I like it better than new reddit already, but I find it doesn't quite feel as nice as old.reddit.com to me....
I adore this. I defaulted to old.reddit.com with an extension for good reason. I don't mind the way kbin looks but stuff like this might make the move over here easier for new users.
Anything they force upon you in new Reddit. Compare old to new, and you see that the same amount of page nets you a third of the content. So much bloat. Profile pictures are nice, tags and flairs are nice, but any of the crap they introduced to make things more like Facebook and Twitter can go right in the bin.

Prior to the protest reddit was in full support of the protest. Most polls on subs supported a shutdown. Now, seemingly every community cant understand why the protest was needed and they're calling it a mod power trip. There is a 3rd possibility. I'm having the same issue! My biggest problem is getting started and sitting down to immerse myself. I would like to have finished BG1 and 2 before 3 releases, but I doubt that's going to be happening.
If there is no kbin or lemmy community available yet, there is always the option to start it. Might be a nice opportunity to get such a place off the ground.
So the recent bad news about Overwatch 2’s PvE cancellation was really disappointing, but honestly it kinda just reminded me that I hadn’t played OW2 in a long while, so I decided to jump in and just play some games....
Joke aside, it may not be as popular as OW1 was, nor have as much of a dedicated fanbase. I personally haven't touched it since week one of OW2 because I was not enjoying myself like I used to, and felt scammed. I reckon plenty of others are of the same opinion.
We Should Focus On Building Kbin, Not Getting Back at Reddit. Here's How We Do It.
While most of the people here upset and rightfully so, we have got to move past the angst to actually build this place out....
OC (Mildly NSFW) Welp, I guess that's it. The single photo that got my ~10-year-old, 60k+ karma Reddit account "permanently suspended."
r/ModCoord has officially recommended migration off of Reddit.

Did the reddit hivemind do a 180 or are the people left behind just the people who don't care.
