Like if I use an unfamiliar text box I always specifically type "samd" for some reason. I'm just curious if it's not just me or if everyone just keyboard mashes, or even thinks about it at all.
I haven't even questioned my assumptions on a lot of things because you would simply get attacked or banned for voicing any opinion contrary to the echo chamber you found yourself in so you just stopped thinking about it beyond don't interact with these people.
my preference was always throwing the url into VLC and finding where the actual file was to download.
I assume this is what downloaders are doing behind the scenes anyway

I really like it here. However, almost 90% of my feed is either posts about Reddit, or Lemmy/kbin meta analysis. We need actual content and communities over here!
