It's deeply pleasuring to scratch inside your ears and of course dogs can't do it. Probably anyone would accept to be domesticated just to feel this pleasure too!
Mbin is a decentralized content aggregator, voting, discussion and microblogging platform running on the fediverse network. For my basic knowledge working side by side with a lot of devs, I totally agree with the way Ernest thinks. It's essential for a product that's growing up to have a solid core that will not need to be rewrote in the near future.
But also, as an user, I keep wishing we could see more features, like the API for mobile apps.
I mean, besides what Ernest and Melroy thinks that's the right way, there's also what the users need, what the users want and what the project needs to escalate (new features vs core rewriting). And probably there's not a right answer for that.
Oh, thanks for showing the other side! Like always, things are not just black and white.
I have never heard about Melroy before, but I was scared by the last comment. It's nice to hear that there are nice people working on this branch :)
Recently Amazon, I suppose their app, added a search item to my context menu, which is quite a nuisance. Other apps have as well, such as DeepL and Wikipedia, but I believe those have a valid use case without too much of a commercial interest. Is there a way to remove items from the context menu without removing the related app?
Today, I took care of several overdue formalities related to the project that were weighing on me. Besides the routine refactoring and work on the ActivityPub module, there are a few things I would like to do this weekend:...
You mean when violence was more aceptable than talking? Of course I remember (even because it still exists) and I'm very happy that society is evolving
After some time missing an app, I managed to really like Kbin even on my browser, specially with some mods (my favourites are Kbin Usability Pack and Kbin Subscriptions Panel), but I really miss notifications for interactions on my posts and comments....
I've noticed that Kbin turns gray the title of the posts that I've already clicked, but it'd be nice if I could just hide the ones I already saw, keeping my "Hot" section always fresh with new content....
I obviously appreciate the work @ernest has done and the team that's working on kbin but I'd like to know more about you. I apologize if the answers to these questions have been already answered....
Also there's really a UX problem with images (which appears to be fixed at testing instances) but, for now, you can enable "Auto media preview" on settings, so you don't need to click them.
I know that we NEED more content at Kbin, Lemmy and all the Fediverse in order for them to grow and substitute Reddit and other networks, but sometimes I just feel really happy that I can open my app and read almost everything that was posted in the last few hours without being suffocated by a billion of new posts....
Mine is going to be laid back if all goes according to plan. I'm going to do some birding with a friend tomorrow morning, then I'm headed to a used bookstore to buy a copy of "the pricess bride" that I talked myself out of the other day (I've never read it). Then I'm hitting the farmers market and then relaxing at home for the...
If I can give you an advice: don't stop trying to get used to kbin.
For me, at the beginning it felt a little complex and hard to find what I wanted, but after some days it started to feel like home and everything now makes sense (except for the upvote button that don't really upvote a post)!
If the real world worked like Pokémon, what animal would evolve into what animal?
Maybe the reason wild dogs were domesticated is because they needed someone to scratch inside their ears
It's deeply pleasuring to scratch inside your ears and of course dogs can't do it. Probably anyone would accept to be domesticated just to feel this pleasure too!

I need an app to replace my work notebook
So I'm willing to replace my physical notebook for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 5, but I'm having trouble finding the exactly app for me....
MIG Switch - a flashcart for the Switch that allegedly works on an unmodified Switch has been announced (migswitch.com)
I can't believe it took so many years, but it is finally here!
RTR#44 Weekend plans

No thanks, I'll just tap my guitar instead. (i.ibb.co)
Strong Men
Is there people on here who are old enough to remember when a man could take a punch and would physically defend other people's safety?...
What are some Redditisms that Lemmy needs to avoid?
For example, people on Reddit asking redundant questions and give equally redundant or unhelpful answers....

Kbin notifications

Any script to hide posts that already had been viewed?
I've noticed that Kbin turns gray the title of the posts that I've already clicked, but it'd be nice if I could just hide the ones I already saw, keeping my "Hot" section always fresh with new content....
Threads - "Mastodon" da Meta (www.uol.com.br)

Who is ernest?
I obviously appreciate the work @ernest has done and the team that's working on kbin but I'd like to know more about you. I apologize if the answers to these questions have been already answered....
Kbin noob here - Is it the intended experience to take 2 clicks to open an image? (one to open the thread, then another to open the image)
Bonus question: How do you collapse comments? Some threads are busy and hard to navigate without this.
Is there any place I can see a changelog of Kbin's updates?
I saw that the test instances have some nice new features that are not still released for kbin.social....
Since Kbin is new basically anyone here now would be considered veterans in a few years.
Just something a recently thought of.
Sometimes I really like that we still don't have too much content at the Fediverse
I know that we NEED more content at Kbin, Lemmy and all the Fediverse in order for them to grow and substitute Reddit and other networks, but sometimes I just feel really happy that I can open my app and read almost everything that was posted in the last few hours without being suffocated by a billion of new posts....
Kbin upvote vs Lemmy upvvote
I already understood that, for now, the Kbin upvote not really upvote a post/comment and to do so, I need to boost it....
it's Friday night, what's everyone doing this weekend?
