Focusing on "Palestinian militants" is misleading, as if this a battle between equals rather than the domination of one over the other.

I know this is really obvious to most of us but as someone who witnessed the rampant racism, sexism, anti-gayness etc of even the 80s and 90s, it’s pretty clear that the current culture war is just a response to us emerging from those patterns! watch any movie from 1990 or around there and it will blow your mind what was common & totally acceptable. We are waking up from a very deep sleep, and some folks can’t handle it

@StillIRise1963 in my experience the seduction of the denial we live with when we're super deep into whiteness keeps us constantly surprised. without constant effort to reject the "ignorance is bliss" lie we slide into "assuming the best of everyone" (lie) and being surprised (bc we're in denial). the experience feels like actual surprise.
@BlackAzizAnansi the “propaganda” I’m susceptible to is anything put out by the source I’ve deemed as trustworthy (Democracy Now). I trust them so much that I don’t really question the reporting. So it’s very possible that I believe things that aren’t true because I don’t question them.
