If screaming “apartheid” has an impact in delegitimising the very basis of Israel’s existence, accusing it of genocide is a still more powerful weapon. So it has, likewise, been repeated until it has now become accepted as fact – such that it can be asserted without contradiction.

Neither apartheid nor genocide have been proven, but as we've seen with far too many things like especially with climate science denial repeating a lie over and over can make people believe anything sadly.

I have not seen a similar opinion anywhere in the world.

Guter Artikel über die Schwierigkeiten von jungen Eltern in der heutigen Gesellschaft & die wohl induzierte Renaissance der traditionellen Frauenrolle (), v.a. in den USA.

In der Tat wäre eine 4-Tagewoche für alle die Lösung für viele gesellschaftliche Probleme, sogar für die in vielen Branchen.
Allerdings nicht für Berufe, die Präsenz erfordern (BusfahrerInnen, KrankenpflegerInnen, VerkäuferInnen, usw.).

Yesterday, I was told by my son's teacher that he got upset when another child answered the classroom door as he was the door monitor. My son said that he hated the fucking school and disrupted the class.

He not only got in trouble for this at home, but he had to sit in the office and miss two recesses today.

The story didn't end here, however. I went to school to pick him up today, and I saw several kids walking around with tiny pots with marigolds. I immediately realized these were Mother's Day gifts. We don't celebrate Mother's Day. Too hard on my son. He was adopted from foster care, and he is working through a lot with his biological mother.

The teacher handed me the citation from the day before. No big deal.

Then I saw one of my son's classmates with a potted marigold. And I realized what happened. I asked the classmate when they made the gift, and he said yesterday.

So, I went to talk to his teacher and aide. Yep, the outburst happened after they made Mother's Day gifts, and...

One clear sign of how ignorant and immature the college protesters are is how they all don't seem to want to be held accountable for the crimes they committed.

I wish that our U.S. campuses would at least still assign students to read MLK's Letter from a Birmingham jail, and Thoreau's essay on Civil Disobedience.

I think these protesters have failed the guidelines of: collection of the facts to determine whether injustices exist; negotiation; self-purification; and effective direct action.

I meant...

a) solely the Kingdom of England (but including Wales since 1284 ;)) until 1536,

b) the Kingdom of England and Wales until 1707,

c) The Kingdom of Great Britain until 1801 and, finally, as I was talking about the period before WWI, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (until 1922).

OK, aber das löst nicht das Problem der meisten Wähler:
es gibt eine Vielzahl von Parteien, bei der Europawahl gefühlt noch mehr als bei nationalen Wahlen. Von jeder müsste man sich das Parteiprogramm durchlesen und auch wie das Abstimmungsverhalten der Parteien in den letzten Jahren war. Zudem müsste man den jeweilige Politiker, der sich zur Wahl stellt, screenen usw. Das wäre mal das Mindeste. Selbst wenn man ständig Nachrichten hört/sieht, ein (mind.) Teilzeitjob.
