Okay, now this is important. Drop everything you're doing, because Tom7 has released a new video. And oh boy, is it wonderful. 20 minutes won't save your life - and this video demands you sacrifice that time. Now!
@unfa Good catch! I noticed this fairly early too, but it's fairly minor glitch I feel wouldn't warrant the need to remedy. These demo's aren't for made for extreme technical scrutiny ( youtube compression makes it pretty much impossible ), more so just to give a high level overview of the available dynamic range and tonal range of the captured RAW video.
Is there any FOSS #FileManager for Windows 10 that isn't super slow and unreliable, has double panels and tabs?
I've tried #Files, #Spacedrive and #DoubleCommander but each of them either can't do basic operations without crashing or requiring me to wait a few seconds.
I thought switching from HDD to M.2 SSD will help - I did not.
#WindowsExplorer sucks - no dual view, no tabs... But all other options fig. make me want to punch the screen.
@unfa not a Windows user, but Emacs has dired, a decent file manager that works on all the platforms. It can edit files and directories remotely too via tramp.
@unfa@reduz@clayjohn@godotengine as I can read, you misunderstood the conversation. From where I see, @clayjohn is saying that 200k is the average yearly salary a person with this experience has (which is true), and that it is not within range for the foundation to hire someone like that. This is not saying that someone "will fix it for 200k". John can correct me, but for me this is what he is communicating.
#StopKillingGames.com aims to delegalize game publishers thanos-snapping games you've paid real money for when they feel like it. Exactly what Ubisoft recently did with The Crew.
@unfa Would be nice to have a law saying something like: "If the service is terminated and the product becomes unusable, self-hosting of the same service must become available."
If you've worked with Godot to make 3D games you probably had trouble getting your characters behave reliably. If you were working on a movement-based game for any amount of time, you've probably felt the pain.
2/3 Actually, the presence of these conditions shows that the circle of potential candidates is extremely small. And engine developers know such candidates better than I do. And if no one specially deals with physics, it means that such candidates are not satisfied with something or they just don't exist.
Also, I'm not the first one to get personal, but since I got caught up I have to respond accordingly.
3/3 I promote Godot on various platforms. Which could potentially attract the right people. The links are attached. So this accusation is demagogic from the impotence to object on the merits.
And such "suggestions" are whining and nothing more.
Brackeys was one of the most valued educational creators for Unity game engine.
He retired a few years ago and stopped.making tutorials. After the Unity Runtime Fee happened and broke all trust with the company's management - Brackeys broke his silence and announced that he is starting to learn Godot.
Today, 2 hours ago Brackeys has published his first Godot tutorial...
I have been reminded that Brackeys retired way before the Runtime Fee debacle. Sorry for my mistake, I have corrected it now. Thanks to everyone who pointed out the error!
This is also the only upload of this talk on YouTube.
I believe it was on #SIGGRAPH's channel a couple years back, but such incredibly valuable talks seem to sometimes be taken down.
So mirror valuable videos from #GDC and other #GameDev events!
