Where are all the videos and gifs?
I’ve noticed that on Lemmy there aren’t really any videos/gifs as I scroll. I just see post titles, links, or images....

Long time reddit is fun user and now I feel lost but I feel moving on is the right thing, I was wondering how do I find community spaces like there were on Reddit?
The thing i said in the title
One of the best things about reddit was looking for answers or other users with the same problem as you, and since Google didn’t really help with that anymore and instead insisted on giving you business results, the best practice was to put your search terms in followed by ‘reddit’ and you’d find your answer.
I came across this usage in excerpts from the dissent by Justice Kagan to the US Supreme Court's decision [see image I will attempt to attach, that I snagged from here:...
Why is no one using CSS to make their magazine's visual appearances more unique? That was the main draw of old Reddit for me....
Is this federating?

If I recall reading correctly, downvotes affect karma, but upvotes don't....
in what ways do you think kbin should strive to be different from Reddit?
Hello Lemmings (I have no idea what Lemmy users are called) I'm a reddit migrator. I'm still a little confused, but I'd like to learn. How do I find communities? The Lemmy Frontpage gets cluttered really fast. Is there any way to get a better overview? Maybe a compact view without pictures. Something ike old.reddit or Hackernews....
Prior to the internet condensing into just 5 or so websites, what do you remember fondling about being online?...
Stuff like memes from people you think are wrong politically, cartoons you don’t find funny, etc etc. Why help the things you hate spread?
Self defense? Only on the battlefield? Only to achieve a ‘noble’ end?
With the simultaneous rollout of restrictions on account sharing and price increases/addition of advertising, I’m cutting back severely on streaming services....
I’m in my 30s so I should be used to this by now, but this shit is getting so stressful guys. I have no savings, my checking account is drained every month with rent, and if there’s ever a serious emergency I have no safety net, I’m legitimately fucked. I’m one unplanned expense away from absolute ruin. Those in the same...
What do you like about kbin compared to other instances?...
Applications, social media interfaces, instances, I’m not sure what the correct word is 😅....
What concepts or facts do you know from math that is mind blowing, awesome, or simply fascinating?...
So basically 24 hours after posting, there is almost no contributions coming in, and after another 24h, it’s nearly impossible to see anybody chipping in to the subject in question. Everything goes silent, almost as if it didn’t matter anymore.
