Etterra, That’s not a hard choice. Have you ever been to Alabama? Nobody wants to be there, not even the natives. Well, at least the ones that aren’t inbred.
BonesOfTheMoon, I actually have driven through. I saw a sign for an apparent mud festival.
pingveno, How’d you do? I
See you met my
Faithful handyman
He’s just a little brought down because
When you knocked
He thought you were the
candy man.
Vespair, Caroline, every time.
Sweet Home Alabama is just awful
Thcdenton, I hate it too, but in it’s defense I think it’s mostly just over played. That riff is kinda sick.
Vespair, Lol, when I describe the song to people what I say is almost verbatim: “it sounds like they stumbled upon one really solid guitar riff and were like, fuck it, play that shit for the next 4 minutes! Umm is that gonna be enough for a song? Who gives a shit!”
So yeah, the riff is pretty good

OhStopYellingAtMe, Where do we go, where do we go now?
Tikiporch, No black people in Alabama or Boston apparently.
harrys_balzac, As a white person, I choose “sweet release of death.”
meekah, DUN DUN DUNNN
Kowowow, What about sweet home alabama or werewolves of london
harrys_balzac, Warren Zebon FTW!
groats_survivor, Zevon? Or did I get whooshed?
Crowfiend, Probably wooshed since B and V are next to each other on most keyboards, making it a super easy typo.
a_wild_mimic_appears,
DmMacniel, Sweet sweet
Baahb, Emotion
Allonzee, So good! So good! So good!
hungryphrog, Why are white people black?
kautau, (edited ) Oh no! Whichever way I go, 🎵 country roads, take me home 🎵
No_Change_Just_Money, Gwendoline, anybody?
harrys_balzac, Ich war geknebelt. Ich konnte nicht mal schreien. Oh, Sweet Sweet Gwendoline!
Signtist, Sweet Home Carolina! No, wait…
Gaspar, (edited ) DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS, WHO AM I TO DISAGREE
ThatWeirdGuy1001, *these
Gaspar, I had originally written that, but I went and looked it up and it actually is “this”. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
samus12345, (edited ) Who am I to disagris?
ThatWeirdGuy1001, (edited ) Y’know when you’re right you’re right. The lyrics do indeed say “this”
However I’m going to lump it in with Blinded by the Light because it’s definitely sang “these” just like Manfred sang “douche” instead of deuce.
Edit: After relistening to the song she actually does say “this” she simply expresses the /ee/ version of the i in “this” so it sounds like “theeeeis”
To most people not paying attention it would sound like “these” but upon closer inspection she is actually saying “this”
