There's a Muni driver named Brennan - I think Brennan Bartholomew - he's really into digitizing obscure VHS content.

Any chance you may know his Mastodon handle if he has one?

I've known him online for decades since MacAddict days (late 90s) but I'm banned from Twitter, which is where I last had contact with him.

@jef @BruceHalperin filling a gap private services didn’t in 1916, I guess. also not that many ways up the hill to Noe—24th too steep, 22nd/Chattanooga already used, cable car over Castro St

@BruceHalperin it totally does, they just don’t like to run them cause the stops only have islands that are one car long. Not to mention half the line has no islands at all 🙃

@Inger @BruceHalperin The problematic stops are Liberty St and the terminal at Balboa Park—those only fit 1 car.

Liberty is between 20th and 21st which also have stops. It’s only a stop because people would walk on the tracks to access the train otherwise.

A great upgrade for the J would be to tunnel it from 20th to 22nd and convert the right of way to a trail.
