Democrats as a whole refuse to figure out what motivates Republican voters in order to speak in a way that might appeal to them. Why should it be a shock that Democrats as a whole refuse to figure out what motivates potential 3rd party, or disaffected, voters? Instead, they’ve been using the same browbeating tactic since Nader ran in '96.

Public opinion matters when you’re trying to sell a candidate, and the short memory of her doing the same stupid thing in 2016 and shooting her campaign in the foot is frankly depressing.
