It’s a pattern. Clinton balances the budget and hands it to Bush #43. Bush #43 gets a second term because of 9/11 and then tanks the economy due to flimsy regulation on lending and Obama is left with the an economy in tatters. Obama fixes it.
Trump got off to good start because Obama teed it up for him.
What were you doing 4 years ago?? Besides fighting other shoppers for toilet paper as the unemployment rate soared to 14%?
For anyone who is wondering the alloy metal that is radioactive is Technetium #43. It is weird it has no stable isotopes, and is only one of two radioactive elements that proceed non radioactive elements. As far as I am concerned it exists only to be different.
Add “autoplay the next episode of the podcast I’m watching if it’s available.” Yeah, youtube, I really wanna watch Well There’s Your Problem #138 immediately after Well There’s Your Problem #43. Idiot.
La seule manière de se relire efficacement est de se convaincre qu'on a pas écrit le texte, mais qu'en réalité, on corrige la rédaction verbeuse d'une pompeuse gamine de 15 ans qui aurait trop lu Balzac.

On 18 November, some 2,500 internally displaced persons (IDPs), along with a number of mobile patients and hospital staff vacated Shifa hospital in Gaza city. 25 health workers and 291 patients remained at the hospital. The latter includes 32 babies in critical condition, two people in intensive care without ventilation, and 22 dialysis patients. The hospital is no longer operational or admitting new patients.
In a world of cynicism and endless calls for self-sacrifice, #AynRand’s #TheFountainhead is a profound source of inspiration. Young people in particular need a “confirmation of the spirit of youth, proclaiming man’s glory, showing how much is possible,” as Rand observed.
“There are very few guideposts to find. The Fountainhead is one of them.”

The list from that editorial (https://sites.prh.com/modern-library-top-100) had a solicited correspondence from what’s now the Columbia Publishing Course. The latter’s director said at the time, “Our list reflects a young, more #feminist crowd. [It] shows a difference of age and taste.”

@ernie Hey! I'm finding an issue when I try to click through on the sponsored link down at the footer in the latest Tedium newsletter (Spooky DB). Goes to a Paved page w “Error 103”
@ernie The only other thing I can think of is that I signed up using an plus-sign aliased version of my email, e.g. username+tedium@example.com - and I notice that the embedded URL has the plus as a literal not as + so maybe this is an edge case on the email.
Yeah cars have more uses than gun. Guns are a tool with one function, to kill. We infringe on people’s right to free speech when it is potentially harmful so I don’t get why guns get some mythical status.
** Freedom of speech does not include the right:
To incite imminent lawless action. Brandenburg v. Ohio, 395 U.S. 444 (1969). To make or distribute obscene materials. Roth v. United States, 354 U.S. 476 (1957). To burn draft cards as an anti-war protest. United States v. O’Brien, 391 U.S. 367 (1968). To permit students to print articles in a school newspaper over the objections of the school administration. Hazelwood School District v. Kuhlmeier, 484 U.S. 260 (1988). Of students to make an obscene speech at a school-sponsored event. Bethel School District #43 v. Fraser, 478 U.S. 675 (1986). Of students to advocate illegal drug use at a school-sponsored event. Morse v. Frederick, __ U.S. __ (2007).
