Artists, I know the artist who organizes this and wanted to share for those interested in it. It’s a challenge through out June that gives daily prompts which work towards creating a unique story and characters. It’s a Hero’s Journey themed art challenge.
I'm Karin, a queer disabled neurodivergent artist & recovering preschool teacher. I love painting plants & animals & sharing interesting facts about them. I also love cooking & reading! I'm very excited to join pixelfed & meet new artists.
I run the most laid-back #ArtChallenge on the internet: #KWPrompts
Every prompt lasts for 2 weeks- they change every other Tuesday
I also write the best blog on the internet, Karin Wanderer Learns, where I write about whatever I've been learning about recently (mostly art!) That also comes out on Tuesdays
I noticed that many artists are doing the evil art style challenge and I wanted to try it too. I tried it on this artwork from 2022. The left side is my main style and the right side is the opposite.
I haven't really drawn anything without contours or close to realism for about 10 years (And I am not a big fan of grayscale), so I was a bit rusty, but I hope I did well.
This style:
-No colors or contours
-Semirealism
-Fully rendered soft shaded character
-The neck is thicker than her wrist (lol)
#Huevember day 17 but also includes the hues for day 16 and 18 in it.
An #ArtNoveau inspired promotional drawing of Renegade Midnight conductor, in the Magical Renegades promo pieces I made for last year’s Huevember challenge. The bluish-purple parts of her outfit are normally gray or black but I think it looks cool and seems fitting for her when shifted to these hues!
I wrote a wrap-up of the #ArtChallenge I tried this month, my takeaways from it and what I was thinking over to do next especially as the time for the Huevember art challenge approaches!
One of those ideas was re-visiting a 3D modeling project I completed last year, but I learned a lot more about topology and more essential tools since then. 🤔
