Unter anderem Dank @thopan konnten wir heute mal ein „Gauntlet“ Abenteuer für #ShadowdarkRPG ausprobieren: das Modul #CryOfTheStingbat von Brandish Gilhelm (Runehammer Games). Gauntlets sind Trichter-Abenteuer, wie man sie von #DCC kennt: eine größere Anzahl von Figuren der Stufe 0 wird in einen tödlichen Dungeon geworfen, nicht alle schaffen es raus und die Überlebenden werden dann zu Stufe 1-Figuren. Ich mag bspw. #DCC und #Shadowdark sehr gerne, aber das ist eine der Fragen die ich mir durch meine Beschäftigung mit #ODnD aka #0e und #SwordsAndWizardry schon stelle.
So after some reading and trial and error, I've set up a "couch table oval" to learn and test the decoder functions. Now I can control all switches, the trains and the decoupler from #RocRail. Nice. Next stop: feedback sensors and block sections ...
And yes, this is the actual base plate I'm going to use for the finaly layout (on which I'm still working with SCARM)
One thing I've noticed about this series, no swearing. the #DCC series was absolutely riddled with it. Not pointing fingers, language is so common in books it just rolls off me, but it's nice not to see it. #Ritualist#TCC

Going back to Konversation for GUI stuffs. DCC file send/receive is kinda important to me. For everything else, including a lot of Matrix usage, WeeChat is still the Kewlist :p
Honorable mention goes to Halloy, which I think looks really good, supports tiling, and says it supports DCC Send - I don't mind manipulating config files by hand, and I might check it out with a FlatPak, but if I'm sufficiently impressed it looks like I'll have to build the .deb and SlackBuild myself, ... Well? Somebody's got to! Right?

The ODT story veers off into a discussion on American vs British English which has nothing to do with the issue at hand. It's just a stupid misspelling because someone screwed up and nobody bothered to check.
If I end up with one of these bins, I'll correct the spelling with gaffer tape to avoid going crazy every time I see it.

I'm mainly here to chat about #RPG games. I have been playing #DnD since the #1980s, starting with Moldvay #Basic and Keep on the Borderlands. These days I am mostly playing #DCC, but also enjoy Call of #Cthulhu, Traveller and #OSR games.
Besides #RPGs, I like British comics, especially #2000AD and its spin-offs. And #cycling.
