Oof. I managed to soft lock #DaveTheDiver in the second boss fight. 🙃 That's a bit annoying as it went really well. But even more annoying is I had some ingredients with me, I really needed. 😅
I also noticed the Mastodon instance you're using. As a big Cyberpunk/SciFi nerd myself, I'm looking to migrate to an instance that aligns more with those themes.
Could you tell me a bit more about your instance? The website seems LGBTQIA+ focused, so I was wondering if that's the primary theme, or if it's simply to show Acceptance. Don't get me wrong I fully support LGBTQIA+ rights, but I'm hoping to find a community that centers more on cyberpunk and SciFi
@73CC Cyberpunk is definitely the main theme here. LGBTQIA+ is "just" a natural part of this.
Be your own self is pretty much everything Cyberpunk wants for individuals. We're extremely against hate against others and have pretty much no tolerance for attacking anyone based on their gender, origin or religion (although religion isn't really a thing here, naturally).
But I'm just one of the Mods on our awesome team. If you want to know anything about this instance in detail you can ask the one an only @revengeday or the collective mod account @lucy, where everyone from the mod team can answer your questions. 😊
Started with #DaveTheDiver this week as it's in #PSPlus and pretty much every person on this planet hypes this game to the moon.
I have to say: I absolutely understand why people love this game.
The soundtrack is awesome, the visuals are totally awesome and I really like the humor. The gameplay loop feels pretty nice and is much more varied than I expected.
Also good as a father of a toddler: The play sessions can be as small as a few minutes and you can pretty much pause the game at every moment. (Except a few cut scenes, but these are mostly under 20 seconds long so far)
@TheRetroSven I mildly disagree. Very mildly, because Blood Money is phenomenal and was the best Hitman game when it came out.
Nowadays, I'd say the rebooted trilogy are the best games in the series. Easily the best way to get started with Hitman and almost infinite replayability, because the missions are just soooo huge and filled with possibilities. @mrpablington@Azurakumo
I finished playing Dave the Diver and it was an amazing game that definitely went beyond my expectations. It had a very fun game play loop and progressing through the game kept unlocking more stuff to do. I was not expecting three different kinds of farming or seahorse racing.
I wish I would have known about the free Dredge DLC before I finished it but oh well.
Otaku In Review Episode 258: Diving for Girlfriends is live!
@ScottSpaziani and I discuss The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You anime, Dave the Diver game, and more. Scott can't believe 100 Girlfriends title exists, but I tell him why he needs to watch it. I promise.
