Last night I went to see Fall Out Boy at CFG Arena in Baltimore with my lovely wife. This was the first time we have ever been to a concert together and we've been married for nearly 17 years. So, that's wild that we still have firsts.
But yea, the concert was fantastic. I spent most of it jamming out to the opening acts and, of course, Fall Out Boy. They put on a fantastic show.
No pics from the show or stage cause...why take a blurry picture of a stage when I can give you a single selfie of two smiling folks excited for the show.
Been a busy morning. Very busy and I am hoping this afternoon is less so.
Last night was fun seeing Fall Out Boy in concert in Baltimore.
Besides having fun with my wife out last night, the opening act "Games We Play" was very cool. Also, the band was just super excited to be there, which was a lot of fun to watch.
Tonight, my wife and I are going to see Fall Out Boy in concert! First concert we have ever been to as a couple...and we've been married almost 17 years. We just haven't really been to concerts in a long while.
I am thankful for tonight, for family willing to watch our kids, and for the firsts in our relationship I didn't realize we still had.
Okay, Jukebox Friday Night's theme is Live Performances.
So, here's one I've enjoyed. It's Travie McCoy of Gym Class Heroes with Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy performing Travie's song Billionaires. It's great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nn8REOqqCjo
We drove to visit my family at the start of February and we listened to a LOT of Fall Out Boy at that point. Leading to Fall Out Boy being the number one artist of the year, so far. Despite not cracking the Top 10 yet.
Number 13 on my most played songs of the year, to date, is Fall Out Boy's Centuries. So, they're climbing.
Just...this is interesting to me. Maybe not to anyone else, but to me.
April is about to end as May comes home tomorrow, so let's look at my most listened to tracks as it has updated this past month.
Itzy (Yeji) - Crown on My Head
NMIXX - Run for Roses
Kiss of Life - Bad News
NewJeans - Gods
T-Pain - Dreaming
Fall Out Boy - Centuries
Dreamcatcher - We Are Young
Solar / DJ Harry - Paradise
aespa - Drama
Dreamcatcher - OOTD
Once again, K-Pop is dominating what I am listening to offline, but T-Pain and Fall Out Boy cracked the Top 10 this month with Fall Out Boy remaining my #1 most listened to artist of the year.
#FallOutBoy show was fucking exquisite. Particularly enjoyed the bit when Pete stuck his head in the mouth of the giant toy dog. Also Patrick playing Sweet Caroline 💜💜💜
I had a lot of fun at the #FallOutBoy concert but now that it's been several days I think I can safely say I don't ever want to go back to the venue that show was at.
I don't know if Red Rocks is better but I'm inclined to not want to go to an outdoor show ever again, frankly. The sun and the bugs and the sloped design of the flooring under the seats were all genuinely pretty terrible elements to an otherwise great show. I wish they'd played at The Can instead.
My favourite picture (feat. my Pixel's "motion photo" feature) from what I managed to get last night.
I really wish the people in front of me hadn't been so doggedly persistent about getting in the shot but just look at this happy little guy. What a great show.
Fifteen minutes to launch! I'm so nervous about what parking's going to be like... I called the venue to ask and the lady I spoke to was very nice but she eventually had to kind of give up and tell me "it's hard to explain without a visual".
Thankfully there was still an entrance near-ish. Doors open in about an hour, we were being cautious about how long it would take to get from the lot to the venue because my partner has trouble walking.
