I evacuated last night around 12:30AM with my son. It was a last minute decision, but what pushed me over the edge was one of the NHC's track updates that brought a potential CAT 4 hurricane way too close to home. I drove to Dothan, AL and slept a few hours and re-assessed. When I saw Idalia finalize that right turn, I made my way back home.
Needless to say, I was lucky. Power outages two counties over are at 100% outage.
⚠️ Confirmed: Metrics show internet connectivity has declined or collapsed in several parts of Florida as Hurricane Idalia makes landfall; the incident comes amid widespread power outages due to felled lines, with a high likelihood of sustained damage to infrastructure ⛈📉 #FLwx
ℹ️ Update: Further internet outages have been tracked in Georgia as Tropical Storm Idalia centers over the southeast of the state; the losses in service are attributed to power cuts and damaged infrastructure amid flash-floods, high winds and heavy rainfall ⛈📉 #Valdosta#GAwx

Here's an excellent example of the wobble, known as trochoidal oscillations (Thanks Dan on Discord lol). Had me fooled for a little while thinking it was taking a western track!
