    @noellemitchell a great thing about Mastodon, it's just not as addictive as the centralized sites. It feels easier to skip it for a couple days.

    In case you missed it, each Mastodon server can have its own custom emoji that are visible to everyone but can only be used by people on that server.

    They can be still :cate: or animated :rickroll:

    If you want a particular custom emoji added to your server, contact your server admin about it.

    Mastodon apps normally have a dedicated custom emoji button within the app, which looks something like ๐Ÿ™‚ (separate from the keyboard emoji button).

    @jnv @thomasfuchs I had just moved to SF in 1998, was working onsite at Montgomery securities, after hours bs-ing with a contractor, playing tunes with mp3 files, and he showed me Google. ๐Ÿคฏ , It took some time for the general public to realize how good it was, just like it's taking some time now for everyone to realize how bad it is, but yeah something will come along and eat its lunch.

Another note about this glitch: For me, it happens when I have multiple firefox sessions, like one on my phone, one on my laptop, one will struggle to load. If I close the browser on both, then open 1 again, everything works. The glitch even happens if you have 2 mastodon tabs open on the same device.

    To answer the question, yes you should get a Covid booster. Some good news, The mortality rate continues to drop with each strain. But it's not clear if it's because Covid's getting weaker, or because immunity has strengthened in the population. Probably probably a bit of both. So by getting the boosters, we are all helping lower that mortality rate, and protecting our neighbors.

    Went away to a memorial service for a close friend. Got my kid to stay with the older folks and dog while I was gone. My MIL and father both fell down and had to go to hospital. Father is still there with a small brain bleed. His memory comes and goes. Have a presentation this morning for my new job. Need to go to hospital and go to see my mother to check on her. Ahhh. Life. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ
