Hey, self-hoster friends. Could you suggest me a public bookmarking tool that I can host on my machine? Preferably, something lightweight that I can use to create lists of links and share with people.
@preslavrachev I use #LinkAce (https://www.linkace.org/). Very simple, easy to deploy, with simple API (I use it to save link with #Tasker easily), and with a useful feature to save (if you want) your links in Internet Archive, so in case the original is removed, you can retrieve from the archive.
Now I can archive the best-of-the-best links I find.
Linkace will backup my links to The #WaybackMachine via #InternetArchive
It will also check for broken links or missing webpages.
I can set links to be private or public. Visitors can share links via popular apps - like Mastodon!
When I get a decent library put together, I will share my Linkace site here.
Nice job Kevin!
