Doctors Without Borders said that the intensification of the onslaught by Israeli forces on #Rafah has forced it to stop providing lifesaving care at Rafah Indonesian Field hospital as of 12 May.
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, says in a statement that it has been forced to stop providing healthcare at Rafah Indonesian Field Hospital as of May 12.
Since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza on October 7, MSF personnel have been forced to leave 12 different health facilities and have endured 26 violent attacks.
MSF has seen a pattern of systematic attacks against medical facilities and civilian infrastructure.
There's a company that could save an enormous amount of lives and suffering – just by reducing by a tiny bit their revenue of 24 Billion USD a year!

"With more than 1.5 million civilians crowded into this sliver of land, an Israeli military escalation threatens to turn Rafah into a graveyard. We are calling for an immediate and sustained ceasefire to prevent more civilian deaths and injuries in Gaza and enable the urgent scale-up of humanitarian aid. Endlich! Gestern wurde in #Trapani die Entscheidung getroffen: Es wird keine Hauptverhandlung gegen die Seenotretter*innen von @IuventaCrew, #SaveTheChildren & #MSF geben. Nach fast 2 Jahre Vorverhandlungen wird die Anklage endlich fallengelassen. Staatsanwaltschaft und der Richter räumen ein, dass die Vorwürfe haltlos sind. Solidarity wins!
Das gesamte Verfahren ist eine Farce und muss dringend aufgearbeitet werden. Es wird immer deutlicher, dass der ganze Prozess politisch motiviert war. In einem Rechtsstaat darf so etwas nicht passieren! Seenotrettung ist eine Pflicht, kein Verbrechen!
Neben ziviler Seenotrettung werden auch Menschen auf der Flucht selbst häufig kriminalisiert und zu unverhältnismäßigen Haftstrafen verurteilt.
Die Prozesse von Menschen auf der Flucht finden dabei in der Regel abseits des Medienrummels statt - umso wichtiger ist es, dass wir als Zivilgesellschaft auf diese Fälle aufmerksam machen!

"Since the beginning of the war, nearly 200 humanitarian workers have been killed,.. Many of these humanitarians were killed while providing care for patients or sheltering with their families."

On the systematic #destruction of the #health system in #Gaza. On what it means to try and save #civilians there. On learning more and more #medical professionals are being killed. On little #children starting to wish they were dead.
