Until 1986, lung diseases of miners from Bochum and the Ruhr area were treated here.
It is estimated that about 50,000 miners were treated here in 82 years.
Today the building is abandoned.

DAS war ein Familiengeheimnis, bis ich nach einer Therapie mit meinen Eltern eine stundenlange Sitzung hatte und DAS u.a. auf den Tisch kam und damit ENDLICH eine Erklärung, warum unsere Familie in Meschede NIE dazugehörte. ER wurde nach dem Krieg in einem sog. Persilverfahren freigesprochen.
Ein Exempel, statuiert an einem zugereisten, nicht echten Mescheder. Damit konnten sich die echten Mescheder nicht schuldig und besser fühlen.

Super ausgebaute und (halbwegs) gut beschiderte Strecke, zusätzliche mobile Radnavigation ist aber sinnvoll 😉
Wir sind in vier Etappen je ca. 50km (Stopps in #Meschede, #Wickede, #Wetter) bis zum #Baldeneysee in #Essen gefahren, Komoot o.ä. findet die Spielplätze, Freibäder, Bademöglichkeiten und Unterkünfte recht verlässlich. Nur Zeltplätze sind etwas dünn…
