I listen to a lot of jazzier stuff too, especially in the evenings and around dinner time, when I want to wind down, but my taste there is more eclectic, and none of those artistes would be an overall favourite.
I'm banning myself from buying any more for at least a month.
I purchased this on the strength of one listen on Spotify. It's a superb record which totally captivated me.
The Harmony Codex by #StevenWilson
And so my #PorcupineTree#StevenWilson collection begins!
I don't think that my taste in music has developed enough before now to give this a proper listen, despite endless recommendations.
I've had a lot of guidance from people on here about personal favourites and where to begin with such a big catalogue of work. All of it has been very welcome, unlike what I've experienced elsewhere. No eye rolling about how late I am to the party or patronising comments 😊
Mastodon is lovely 😍
It’s a mindfuck to see 20th anniversary re-releases of albums I loved as a teenager, but on the plus side they’re all being remastered and sound loads better
@sophie I feel you, #damnation by #opeth was remixed and remastered by #StevenWilson and will come out soon. Both are my favorite artists for over 20 years 🤯
Good Morning and Happy Friday the 13th. If you have an opportunity - put this album on, turn off the lights, light some candles if you want, put on some good headphones and let it sink into you deeply. That is all. Have a great day. Take Care, and Stay Alive!

STEVEN WILSON On Another PORCUPINE TREE Return: "It's Possible"
"I think it would have to be allied with a new studio project
Die neue Steven Wilson mag zwar nicht mitreißen - aber als Hintergrund beim Arbeiten ist sie super und lässt immer wieder auch aufhorchen. Spricht ja auch für gewisse Qualitäten. #stevenwilson
Fragile - IMO Yes' best album. Or at least my favorite.
No need to rehash my previous comments, but the remix here is quite interesting. On Roundabout, for example, Bruford's bass drum is nearly as prominent as his snare. And there's certainly no lack of Squire's bass playing, which is (as always) quite forceful.
Again from the Rhino box set, and another stellar pressing.
