Okay people - especially people - can one actually buy just a plain old acoustic guitar these days at a reasonable price? I'd love to be able to get a little more bang for my buck with just a regular old acoustic (no electronics/pickups) Auditorium or Concert size guitar (not a Dreadnought if I can help it) to play in my family room and out on my back deck.

I don't ever plan on playing out, so no need to plug in? I just want to strum and play cowboy chords and shit, but don't want a bulky dread, nor do I want a little Parlor guitar.

Please help with ideas/recommendations and used is fine.

Holy Shit - so I traded two decent Strats for one really good one with great pickups - man am I a happy Strat owner. This Lake Placid Blue guitar just rips - sounds especially good with my little Dean Markley amp's overdrive turned on -a real rocker of a Strat.

I'm a happy camper.

I'd still love a guitar with a single or double P90 set up, but for now I'm good with a good Tele and a good Strat

** Oh and I'd still love to get an acoustic guitar (but not an Ovation - had one - didn't love the bowl shaped back) that won't break the bank - recommendations welcomed**

@mentallyalex I'm on there a bit because I'm looking at potential new career opportunities, and also there's one fundraising guy on their who always posts really good well-thought out stuff that I read and reflect on a bit.

I think the retirees just want to rub it in the faces of us still working stiffs a little bit.
