@HampshireKarin Deforestation for meat agriculture, palm oil and soy taken together accounts for 60% of all global deforestation. Combine this with the fact that megatonnes of palm oil and soy is used in animal feed for industrial agriculture - dairy and meat - the environmental impact of all this is enormous. @HampshireKarin "Meat Lovers" are actually just unaware of the methods that ALL animals are killed regardless of what they eat. In the most brutal and horrific way imaginable, the idea that they live some happy life is a disgraceful lie from the meat and dairy industry. So save any claim here that you're an animal lover who eats meat, its pure hypocrisy. @palmoildetectives it’s a pity most of the butter alternatives that are marketed as vegan friendly contain palm oil, including many nut butters. Also need to watch out for the “sustainable palm oil” greenwashing tripe
