Dimanche dernier, j'avais l'intention d'aller me balader jusqu'à l'allée couverte de Loc'h ar Ronfl mais j'ai dû faire demi-tour à une trentaine de mètres, le chemin étant toujours obstrué par des arbres, tombés lors de la tempête Ciaràn. The Menga dolmen is an ancient burial mound located near #Antequera, #Málaga, Spain. It has been dated to approximately 5,700 years ago and is one of the largest known #megalithic structures to be built in #Europe.

On the way out, they face towards Lovers' Rock, and the small cave now known as Goat Butcher's Shelter, with its cave paintings from an earlier period of around 3900 BC.
Fiadh's first visit to the Poll na Brón Dolmen - a 5000 year old portal tomb from the neolithic period. She was much more interested in a wee Rock Pippet that was flying about. You know what they say "You can take a dog to a Dolmen, but you can't ..........." 🤣
