Just added a new hotel to the website to help anyone looking for accomodation. The Trecastell Hotel is a few miles from Cemaes, but is only a 5 minute or so drive away. Busses are available as well as a possible ride sharing option if enough people are interested. Their Sunday carvery is quite tasty as well! (I went a couple of weeks ago)
Tickets are still available for the event, book your #Drupal weekend on #Anglesey today!
23 Mar 1623: Christopher Villiers or 'Kit', Buckingham's brother, is created Earl of #Anglesey and Baron Villiers of Daventry #otd (Here's the whole clan, from the NPG)
23 Dec 1602: David Jones takes possession of the premises for Beaumaris Free School #Anglesey Ynys Môn #otd on behalf of David Hughes the founder. It opened in 1603 (Bencherlite)
Interesting map of the light pollution in UK. I was impressed to see sky in the night near #Pentraeth to compare with south England. But according the map there are places with even darker sky. :-)
@druid and moi were visiting a great garden near #Porthaethwy called Plas Cadant yesterday where they have amassed a collection of over a hundred different hydrangeas, including blue ones.
This almost unreal beauty is called Magical Constellation and it absolutely glowed blue from the other side of the garden.
Neat growth habit and masses of serrated cupped flowers covered the plant.
"...[Ava Jones Weaver's mother, Elizabeth] said: “Her absolute favourite thing to do... is looking for #Bugs, and she constantly brings me pots with different bugs in...
"...But once she opened her hand, I saw the most beautiful pink grasshopper. She was so excited that she had found it...."
Can't believe it's been a year since I moved to Cemaes! That really flew by, I still feel very new here. In other ways I'm feeling like a different person, village life is certainly agreeing with me versus life in the city. #Anglesey#YnysMôn
A #Robin on my brother Robert's hand, at The Dingle (Nant y Pandy) #Nature Reserve near #Llangefni, #Anglesey, #Wales yesterday. This magical spot was created for the Red Squirrels who are the main attraction, but the regular provision of food also ensures a supporting cast of birds including Great Tits, Nuthatches, Chaffinches, a particularly bold Crow, and a family of Robins who have all become very tame and vie with the Squirrels for attention.
Mein Hirion standing stones at Llanfechell Anglesey. Near a lane but a bramble covered stile to get over. Lovely stones though worth the visit. #StandingStoneSunday#PreHistory#Anglesey#North Wales
