When the #shapeBuilder was in development in #Inkscape last year, I immediately saw it was useful for selecting the pattern lines in sewing patterns, like neckline options, and for a while, that was it.
But since then, I often use it to join broken paths together, and found it's good for joining back post-alterations shapes too, so less to no tracing is needed.
Would be cool to be able to include empty spaces between the paths in the future; still needed some cleaning ;) #projectorSewing
Rolling out a brand new logo on Splatoon Unofficial @splatoon to celebrate Side Orders launch soon! Colours are definitely not ripped off the thumbnail for the Side Order trailer pinned on SplatoonNA's Twitter.
Ugh, this really hurts. #inkscape currently has no manual and our Help > Manual menu item points to Tav's website which was taken offline because of an erroneous claim and he's having a hard time bringing it back.
A face palming lack of foresight on my part not to insist that this kind of data be on the main website and in an open license.
Only patching the source code can change the url now of course.
Kennt sich hier per mit Inkscape ( :inkscape: ) aus und weiß, wie ich für Taschenkarten im DIN A5 Format Hilfslinien z.B. nach Prozenten vergeben kann? ^^'

Hello folks,
Does anyone here know how to use Inkscape ( :inkscape: ) and how I can assign guidelines for pocket maps in DIN A5 format, e.g. according to percentages? ^^'
I just learned about this #Inkscape feature request. While #FreeCAD sketches export nicely as SVGs, they are limited; for example, I can't put constrained text in them, and if I export faces made from sketches, they are lots of tiny line segments from the model, not the underlying shapes. Constraints that can apply to arbitrary SVG objects, like text, would be wonderful.☺
3D Design tool for needy kids, the search continues.
We have old laptops to loan out to kids from poor backgrounds. They don't have internet. 2D design we have covered with #inkscape, and the laptops run #linux well (but not Windows). What I need is a 3D design program. Suggestions welcome.
Started working on a sickbay for the USS Cerberus. Gonna be a mix of Voyager and Enterprise-E as far as influences, but with its own color pallet and details.
It's quite dark at the moment as most light sources aren't set up yet, I intend the final set to be brighter.
So... I completely redesigned the room as I wasn't happy with how Voyager-esque it was.
It now has a symmetrical layout with two beds at each side of the central surgical area, with a nurse station also at the center of the room. At one end there's a glass division connecting to the chief medical officer's office.
It's nearly there, I just need to do some more LCARS, finish the biobeds, the surgical area, and some other details.
Increased lighting levels all through the room, finished the biobeds (including the surgical arms, and yes they do move into place), and did a bunch of other details all over. Other than some LCARS and final touchups, I think this set is nearly done!
