I want our LRRR to be well fed and Donnie's gotta be as plump as he'll get before prison food (if not this case, hopefully soon.) But if he eats him, TFG won't learn nothing.
@RickiTarr Jean Shepard voice over from A Christmas Story: "LSD? Psilocybin? Peyote? Amateurs. Everyone knows the real score in middle school is Tylenol, and Scut Farkas had a plan to get it before the big dance!"
Nothing changes, 'cause it's all the same
The world you get's the one you give away
It all just happens again, way down the line
And all the things you learn when you're a kid
You'll fuck up just like your parents did
It all just happens again, way down the line.
It's tough as a kid, but when you're older, whether you have kids or not, it's easier to see your parents as human beings who did the improbable (if not the impossible) with only so much on hand.
Well, unless you're from a rich family, then it gets complicated ...and usually messed up.
For me there are a few people who are usually equalizing, and I can just be around them, so I won't count that. But generally, I find about 3 times a week, I'm game for socializing. A day in between to rest is usually nice, but the larger the gathering or if we go somewhere particularly noisy or I'm meeting new people that involves more effort, and my social battery empties sooner. I'm very curious where everyone else falls on this!
@RickiTarr At a time it was 1:1. Every day I was social, a day to myself was enough to bounce back. Work definitely was a negative impact (5:2 sucks.)
Now, I think I'm at a 1:5 ratio thanks to societal burnout and political pressure coming from all sides. I spend 5 days off, only one workday is tolerable. Day #2 and I want another five days off. Vacations do not help.
@healyn@Adam_Cadmon1 Yeah, Toto fucks everyone up. (They discussed this as part of the Lukatherscore, or the Steve Lukather influence of various 80's bands as a session guitarist who blurred all of those lines.)
@RickiTarr What makes me sad: Paramount+ ending series with less promised new works in the pipeline. At their peak, five series at a time per year. Now, I'm not sure that will ever happen again. (They clearly aren't interested in elevating one series to a full season commitment of 23 episodes. That would at least be a sign of good faith if they can't run more than a couple of shows.)
What doesn't make me sad: Faith of The Heart. I still love Enterprise, even if the presence of theme song lyrics made it weird.
@notroot@RickiTarr Cause there's supposed to be an onomatopoeia-filled answer when asked "what's the words to your favorite Star Trek Theme?"
(Currently Strange New Worlds) "BWAAAAAAH! Ba-ba-ba-ba-BWAAAAAH, Ba-ba-ba-ba-BWAAAAAH, Ba-ba-ba-ba-BWAAAAAH, Ba-Ba-Ba-BAAAAAAH!"
(Whistles the Star Trek TOS notes at the end.)
