The chair of the Yolo CA chapter of Moms 4 Liberty, Beth Bourne lied to her doctors for months about having gender dysphoria.

Eventually she was approved for gender-affirming surgeries, forever proving that if you lie to your doctors for months you can convince them you have gender dysphoria. Shocking!

@e_urq How dare doctors believe their patients about their own experiences of gender and/or their body! Doctors should never believe anybody about anything & treat patients like they're enemy combatants & the doctor must protect the poor innocent medications from them. 🙄

As a disabled nb person this is infuriating. I've spent years curating a selection of doctors who believe me about my personal experiences of health and my body, and then this bitch! :yell2::goose_honk::trebuchet::blobcatknife:

That is IT. FUCK GOOGLE. If you’re not going to provide technical support with a real live person then fuck you I’m going somewhere else. I’ve had this account for over a decade and now I can’t get into it on my new phone because YOUR STUFF IS BROKEN. And there’s no way to contact a real person in real time for help with any of the products!!

So, did some research and narrowed it down to ProtonMail and MailFence as the two that has the most features I deem necessary. Just trying to decide between them, any opinions around here?

Hi everyone. My name is Katherine "Gwen" Morningstar. I have been diagnosed with Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). Due to my condition, I have not been able to remain upright long enough to cook my own meals or bathe myself, yet alone work to pay my rent, utilities, or transportation to and from my doctor's visits. I am in the process of getting assistance for disability income through the SSA but it has been slow. In the meantime, I need assistance paying the remainder of my bills this month. My son has downloaded Discord, which means I really can't put off having a comprehensive discussion about online safety with him anymore. We've had lots of small conversations about not trusting everything you see online and stuff, butI haven't been very good about more comprehensive education. I do better with a book to guide the convo, but all the ones I'm finding are from 2019 or earlier. Surely there are more recent books for kids? @bookstodon

@ghpancardo @bookstodon he’s 12. I found a worksheet composed by kids for something, but it focuses more on technical security (still important!) than on netiquette and social safety.

@fondoffawns @fiberarts I did the math, and I need to for about 100 hours total to finish, which is about 25 hours a week between now and Christmas. That’s like 3.5 hours a day every single day, no exceptions. I’m gonna die. 😭

@Babcia54 @fiberarts I definitely will! I usually take regular progress photos of my projects! It helps me feel like I’m progressing! Which is gonna be especially important for this one because it’s all a single color so I can’t even be like “ok! All done with this color!”

Why is it so hard to find a nice 14” embroidery hoop for display??? Both Etsy and Amazon the only ones I can find that big are the cheap flimsy bamboo ones. I’ve literally spent an hour searching, and all of the nice pretty ones top out at 12” max, which is 3/4 of an inch too small for my design!! Argh!!! @fiberarts
