The most ridiculous thing about cop procedural shows is when they ask where a person was, and what they were doing at a specific time the person always has perfect and immediate recall. I'd be desperately trying to remember what day of the week that was, and trying to open my phone calendar. If I was the cop, I'd immediately be suspicious of the person who remembered exactly where they were and what they were doing.

@RickiTarr Indeed so, in that they're part of the pervasive myth that The Police are a force for Good and there for Our Benefit. All evidence to the contrary, since the first guard strapped on a breastplate.

They are cop propaganda, designed to perpetuate the shite we are inculcated with in school. Filled with sympathetic protagonists and unsympathetic antagonists who, more and more these days, are us.

I keep seeing people saying how they're supportive of . The ONLY way I have SEEN them be "supportive" of Palestine is by saying "Israel, oh gosh, no, oh naughty, stop..." in a flat monotone. Whilst individually no doubt being on the phone to their brokers to shift all their money out of Raytheon and Elbit...

ScotGov has not expelled, nor openly divested from, any Israeli businesses, or businesses servicing Israel.

The UK is Great [as in Greater, a geographical term] Britain And Northern Ireland.

Great Britain is England, Scotland And Wales.

England has the largest population of those countries, and hosts the capital - London - far from the others. The UK/Britain is often labelled as/confused with 'England.' Particularly by Americans.

Contrary to English-taught history, the other countries did NOT join willingly.

I turned on my PC, opened the web browser and typed something I was after into the search engine. The results came up in Bing.

I don't use Bing. I use StartPage.

Then I noticed the browser setting had an Error message. I clicked on it and got this.

This is NOT StartPage asking to accept 'Permissions,' it's Windows.

The permission listed is ambiguous/unclear. I'm assuming "Remove" means remove

@techviator Hiya. Thank you. As an Average End User this kind of thing does bug me. Especially the slipping into Bing as default... I use the Crap Cleaner browser which is - AFAIK - a Google analogue (though they recommend a different search engine than Google..).

So hapless dicks like me - people who imagine computers are supposed to make life easier (hahahaha) - get caught out by/are suspicious off stuff like this.

Q: In your learned opinion, should I "accept permissions?"

I... am not doing very well today. I think I'm in crisis.

I haven't left the flat in twelve days except for one essential shopping trip and I barely got back without committing murder/screaming-without-cease.

There's no respite inside either. The stair door (which is next to my bedroom) is going like a saloon door on free beer day, with tourists staying in the illegal STLs and illegal sublets coming and going 24/7.

Supposed to be somewhere yesterday & today. Cried off both times. 😣

What sickens me the most about SNP (Scottish Government) apologists is their posting/boosting of the atrocities in at the hands of Israel, whilst at the very same time saying there's nothing ScotGov can do and how they must do as Westminster tells them.

I'm on the search for a well run #Instance that is #Meta / #Threads free. I have #Mastofriends in #Europe particularly so any instances there that are safe (and that would HAVE me) would be cool. But in any case, I'm after a new safe home where I'm sure the "blocked_domains.csv" will take effect, and that can tolerate an idle fucker who posts a lot of pictures (with Alt Txt, naturally).
