The day @KevBot and I both became “fully vaxxed” in May of 2021, we went out to this restaurant with a patio for our first public dining experience in over a year.

It was cold AF but we were just happy to be “free” and we took a photo of each other to commemorate the moment.

This resulted in us starting a tradition of taking photos wherever we’d go and I kept compiling them into 9x9 grids until I got up to 144 photos and was finally like okay, Alice, that’s enough.

I realize it’s ridiculously excessive, but we’d spent the prior year not even knowing if we’d ever be able to go to a restaurant again and we didn’t know how long it was going to last, so we were just trying to take advantage of it while we could.

@Alice @KevBot This brings up a lot of feelings, I remember get my second injection and I was trying to hold back tears because I felt so much relief, and the person giving my shot put her hand on my shoulder and said It's okay lots of people cry.

But May 2021 was my first patio dinner too, and it felt so good to do something normal again. My brother and I picked peaches that day and had fried fish and chicken under a big tree.

I made a lovely curry tonight with ingredients from a kit. Methinks this needs to be something I make independently now that I'm comfy with the process.That and risotto. What can I say? I love cooking anything I can throw over rice.

You basically bang everything in the pot and stick it in the oven then stir for a few minutes at the end, it's so good and easy
