New 1000G for my long neglected Xbox 😅

A SNES inspired Castlevania-like right down to the 8-bit sprites, gothic horror setting and multiple endings

Speaking of multiple endings, it was a real slog to replay 5 times over in succession but overall I had a great time with this nostalgia fuelled trip

A must play series for Igavania fans but please do get your hands on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night because that game is 🤩

Platinum Trophy No. 166

A true, classic RPG with the most lovable cast of characters, atmospheric locations and well written story that dives into multiple genres and themes without ever faltering in its quality or gameplay enjoyment. Quite possibly my game of the year 2023!

Garl has made it as one of my all-time favourite characters ever! Such a sweet, positive and loving dude ❤️

Just buy it will ya!

Double dipped on this one as I had originally platted the PS4 version (don't believe there was a PS5 version on release?) but saw it got added to PSPlus and with the release of the dlc... had to be done

Plus it's another excuse for some sibling gaming time with my brother 😊

Great arcade fun and a must play for fans of the turtles and beat 'em ups in general

I'm struggling to understand how they got this one so wrong after how fun the first one is

No 80's music, clumsy new mechanics and drawn out objectives that bear little to no relevance to the themes of each level

A delightful little platformer with some incredibly adult satire nestled into this children's game

A must play for any Mario 64 fans or lovers of old school 3D adventures

Platinum No. 162 The Ascent

A fun top down shooter with light RPG elements set in a dystopian, cyberpunk future where the majority of the planet's populace have become indentured servants.

2 years on from the release and it still has some bugs, I had to replay the game for The Aficionado trophy as the tracker for weapon upgrades freaks out if you experiment and upgrade multiple weapons

Platinum Trophy No. 161: Exoprimal

Horde style games will always be fun on the surface level and there is an interesting storyline that follows alongside the online matches in a detective style clue board as you find data files and unlock cutscenes

The Escapists 2

Managed to get through this way faster than I expected to honestly, I was hyper focused

Multiplayer trophies aside, The Escapists 2 is a vast improvement from its predecessor and seems to be aging particularly well with the roguelike boom

Can't say I had the best time with this outside of my first run and certainly not one I'd recommend for trophy hunters who value their sanity 😅

I am ridiculously excited for Exoprimal

The demo only gave us a taster of what to expect from the full game but the raptor swarms and neo t-rex boss battles are insane carnage and I had a lot of fun playing it - Arcade style madness as its finest

Fully invested in having a story play out in between the online matchmaking too.
