I've been wondering about Kamala Harris for some time. Over in Sweden, I have not heard a single mention of her on the news since becoming VP, apart from a report on her outfit at some gala. Presumably, she's been busy but making no impact in the reporting of US politics at all.
@Adam_Cadmon1@Stoned_Deva_ I expect it’s a bad sensor. One’s a Honda and the other a Dodge. The Honda has been reset at the garage a couple times but always comes back after a short while.
This is complicated, I'm Dutch but have been in Berlin for over 8 years. And yeah, in Germany, the Turks are the "main" racist target, and in the Netherlands, it's Moroccans. That said, that doesn't mean there's no intra-EU shit talk, I mean, pre-EU, the main European past time was killing each other.
These days the shit talk is more akin to a friendly rivalry amongst most, but the extreme right (think GOP, attitude wise) just wants the EU to fall apart.
It just makes good business sense to close your shop for a few hours when it's too hot for people to be out and about. Same for working the fields - the big hat can only do so much.
Vacaion in Spain requires some planning too. We usually do dinner somewhere between 17:00 and 18:00. Knowing that Spaniards eat late, we hit the restaurant (super hungry) at 21:00, asking for a menu.
"Here you go, but we can only serve drinks for now. The chef will be arriving in about 30 minutes."
"I did what?"
"Broke your foot"
"What am I, 80?" (I was maybe 30?)
"..."
"You're less fun than my regular doctor."
"I'm your general... do you mean your therapist!?"
:blobcatsip: exacerbated sighs from doctor with muttering @the_etrain
