Is there any concept of federated identity in the #fediverse? For example, I use the moniker โYurkshireLadโ but it shouldnโt be restricted to only the #mastodon identity @YurkshireLad. If that makes sense.
Weird. Trying to connect a Javascript websocket client to a Python-Tornado websocket server. The websocket is closed as soon as the connection is established, but I can't tell which side is the culprit or why it's happening.
Best free, #OpenSource, #linux based option for #SelfHosting file storage at home? Ideally with app support for copying to/from mobile devices and perhaps support for mounting drives in #windows. I know about #nextcloud and have tinkered with it. I don't love it as it seems to do too much.

I installed #debian and #vscode on my new laptop (on an external SSD for now). Of course vscode hangs at startup. Some posts say it can be fixed by deleting one of two keys from the key ring, but really?

I thought Iโd try and open my really old #yamaha PSR-500 synth keyboard. It stopped working and I wanted to see if maybe a capacitor had blown and it would be an easy fix. Or I could salvage some interesting #electronics from it.
After removing 30+ screws in the base I can almost get the base off, except it seems to be really stuck along the edge where the keys are. Not sure whatโs going on.
