There are talks of sanctioning Tucker Carlson for his Putin interview

While America is not directly at war with Russia, we engage in non-kinetic military action

This falls directly in line with what Tucker did during the Fox Years as well as his actions now:

Our high today is 52ยฐF/11ยฐC, which is 20-25ยฐF/13-15ยฐC warmer than the mean this time of year. Tonight it's only supposed to drop down to 45ยฐF/7ยฐC, which is 30-40ยฐF/18-22ยฐC warmer than the mean this time of year.

The lakes that had started to freeze over are open once again. Not a flake of snow remains to speak of.

A lot of people up here will be hurting if it doesn't get cold and snow soon.

A continuation of Climate data for Hayward, WI (1991-2020 normals, extremes, 1893-present) This time I have circled the mean daily minimum temperatures for December and January, which are 10.7ยฐF/-11.8ยฐC and 2.9ยฐF/-16.2ยฐC. For funsies, I circled the record low temperature for Hayward, which is -52ยฐF. The record low for the state of Wisconsin is -55ยฐF and that was recorded in the town of Couderay, which is located on the other side of Lac Courtre Oreilles from Hayward.

@the_Effekt Unfortunately no. We aren't supposed to cool down until it passes. It's raining outside now.

My grandmother was commenting to me on Facebook that she agrees that the weather is a little wacky, but she'll gladly take the rain over the snow.

I didn't have the heart to tell her that I would rather take the snow that slowly melts and trickles into the soil and earth rather than heavy rain that generally flows off into the waterways.

#NorthernWisconsin #ChristmasEve Nearly 50ยฐF/10ยฐC outside today. I'm guessing that we may be getting close to some record temps today/tomorrow. Last year around this time we already had a foot of snow. I think NOAA out of Duluth has only recorded ~4 green Christmas Eves/Days in the last 70 years. This is WILD.

It's so wild, that when I checked my mushroom logs, I happened upon a good handful of Blue Oysters. Yum!

@shoq I'm guilty of forcing interactions with my cats. However, one has a very clear "abort" mode and I'll generally release him a couple of seconds after I realize that's what he wants. It's weird, because sometimes he'll get to abort mode, and then I'll start rubbing his belly, and it just melts away and he's like, "Oh no, don't stop..." Whereas the other cat gets overstimulated easily so I've learned to give him one or two pets and let him go. Otherwise it's PLAYTIME with teeth and claws out.

For people learning #Irish on #Duolingo where do you turn for that extra learning material that it's lacking?

YouTube, books...??? Mostly for grammar help and short stories. There's a few things that I'm noticing with patterns, but I feel like there's a deeper level to it that I'm missing out on.

I'm just starting out on this journey. I'm actually surprised at how much Irish is making sense to me so far, with my mostly Germanic language backgrounds.
