Another day, another antifascist successfully beats all charges after The International Anti-Fascist Defence Fund helps him pay to hire a decent lawyer! Here's what Leif had to say after winning in court on Tuesday:

"ALL ASSAULT CHARGES DROPPED, THANKS TO YOU! 🏳️‍⚧️
Today's trial date took an unexpected turn for the better! Due in large part to your show of support, Leif and his lawyer were able to secure a plea deal which eliminated all 3 of the assault charges, and the fascists are seething mad!

🏳️‍⚧️ WHY TAKE A PLEA DEAL? 🏳️‍⚧️
Some of the witnesses for the prosecution included a 12-year-old whose testimony was being coerced by extremist parents. As Leif is an abolitionist and an advocate for children he decided that it would be unethical to proceed with such a trial. Furthermore, his lawyer was able to secure the plea in a way which would not entail jail time, which is a priority for Leif at this time due to an unrelated skateboarding injury which requires extensive orthopedic care.

Leif will plead to a lesser misdemeanor and be sentenced on December 6th at 10:30am. When anti-fascists stood up to a marauding mob of Piss Boys, neo-nazis, and white supremacists intent on wreaking havoc in San Diego's Pacific Beach neighborhood just three days after the failed 2021 Capitol Hill insurrection, police targeted them, only arresting the people defending their community from the armed right-wing extremists.

San Diego's DA has doubled down and is attempting to convict the 11 antifa charged on offenses normally seen in mafia trials. Many of the charged have taken plea deals but JW, knowing that this could strip all Americans of some basic rights, won't back down and is going to trial. The International Anti-Fascist Defence Fund is helping to pay for his legal representation.

Another week, another person out there defending the right of trans people to simply exist has to confront a mob of transphobic shitlords and winds up with charges from the transphobic shitlord-protecting police. This time in Sacramento, which some of you will recall was the place where police let nazis stab seven people and drop guns as they ran away, didn’t manage to charge a single nazi, but worked overtime to try to frame the antifascists targeted by the nazis, in collusion with the nazis themselves. So, no big surprise that this was the outcome of the policing efforts this time.

Still, that left our friend facing serious prison time. Given that he his the sole source of support for his disabled mom, he took a plea deal instead and will be doing about six months in prison. He reached out to The International Anti-Fascist Defence Fund to ask for help paying off his court fees and providing for his mom while he’s locked up and, of course, we said “absolutely!”

Trans people shouldn’t face public hate rallies calling for their elimination.
People defending the rights of trans people to exist should wind up harmed or arrested for doing so.

Saturday, a pitiful display of less than 30 far-right activists, deprived of their self-appointed leader, Nick Tenconi, who left them at a petrol station & didn't attend his own demonstration, were confronted by hundreds of locals in support of queer culture in South London. Police forcibly attacked the local community to ensure that constant failure.

Laurence Fox could parade around his personal ring of bigotry met by a chorus of disapproval. As per usual, police come out to push locals out the way for fascists to speak.

Queer antifascist culture remains strong in South London and we will keep showing up the fascists wherever they appear.
