Hab jetzt seit n paar Wochen benutzt, ausschließlich um Katzenbilder und Essensfotos vom Handy aufn Laptop zu kriegen.

Ich habe beim Einrichten alle defaults durchge-yolo-t und es scheint zu tun wie erwartet :)

Wenn ich jetzt Bilder aufm Handy lösche, werden sie zurückgesyncthingt, oder? Muss ich daher auf beiden Seiten löschen?

    We had one for a while, and the cats like it. But algae would grow quickly, so we had to frequently clean it thoroughly; which was a pain because it wasn't easy to clean. (Also the pump made a noise).

    These days I just set out several bowls with water: they are easily refilled, and the bowls can be cleaned easily as well.

    When spring sprung earlier this week, #Lady #Ada #Lovelace decided to sneak out onto the balcony and sunbathe 🌞 for a bit on the folding table.

    She looks like worshipping the sun 😂 I do understand her completely though: I am so done with long nights and grey days; and the less said about the cold the better.

    e.g we use:

    • Mattermost (self-hosted work chat)
    • FastMail (work & personal e-mail, work calendar, work storage)
    • Xero (work accounting software)
    • Simplifi (personal accounting)
    • NextCloud (self-hosted personal storage, calendar)

    @ktemkin I like reader and use their hosted plan https://miniflux.app/hosting.html (very cheap; absolutely zero issues in several years, so cannot say anything about their customer support).

    I also use, but do not like, youtube premium: fewer ads but still lousy UX.

    Wanted to pay for but then their CEO (I think) doubled down on some shitty remarks.

    i think there's a case to be made that modern hyper-sensitive IEMs are the logical next step of audiophile nonsense, from a capitalist perspective.

    you've spent decades convincing people the best sound comes from very power hungry, 'difficult to drive' headphones, but now the market is saturated with devices that have very good drive capabilities.

    so how do you keep making money? easy! you start selling devices that reveal high noise floors; an inevitable consequence of too much amplification!

    In case you were wondering, this is what a tray of cookies looks like on a thermal camera, fresh out of the oven (first pic) and during cooling (the other pics). The second pic shows traditional German cinnamon waffles, the others show shortcrust cookies.

    The applications of thermal cameras in the kitchen are totally underrated. You can easily tell which ones are cold enough to be stacked and put into boxes.

    Temperatures shown in the pictures are in Celsius.

    I wish I had a single unix command-line tool that presented a single command-line interface but can work with all the various compression formats I use (tgz, 7zip, zip, etc).

    Currently zip, 7z, tar, zstd etc all use different tools with totally different interfaces. I find myself needing to consult one or another --help far more than I should. zstd just startled me greatly when I discovered that zstd -d by default writes the output file in the same directory as the input file rather than pwd

    Welche andere App dieser Art gibt es?

    Ist es möglich, vom Google Authenticator zu dieser anderen App zu wechseln, ohne dass ich bei den Dutzenden Accounts vorbeigehen muss, um eine neue Dings-FA anzumelden?
