the doomerism w/in the western "#left" just tells me that we need more #intergenerational organizing spaces. older activists tell me how far we've come. identifying #capitalism as a root cause to our issues was uncommon 10 years ago. #abolition wasn't taken seriously 5 years ago. most people didn't know about #palestine 5 years ago!

activists have made such great strides. the ruling class is running out of excuses. why else are they using such violence twds us right now?

yesterday 13% of the SF's registered voters (8% of the city's population) voted to expand #police #surveillance, weaken police oversight, and force drug screenings on the poor 😔

395,000+ registered voters didn't vote, so moderates decided for them that all our city taxe$ will be used to strengthen death-dealing institutions. lol

the struggle continues. political imagination must be cultivated. life-affirming policies/institutions/systems already exist, just not in pop culture…

last night at the post-#no2apec party i met an OG from the national lawyers guild who told me about the #indigenous resistance groups he met during his visits to the #philippines. he said despite the language barrier, he felt at home bc they live & operate so similarly to the indigenous communities in the #mexico, where he lived for decades. bonding with #internationalsolidarity organizers in the bay area gives me so much hope fr 😭💕

How I got my stolen bike back:

• I posted about it on Reddit (/r/BAbike)
• I posted on Craigslist
• I had a listing on Bike Index
• I posted here
• friends posted it on IG

Someone saw it at a flea market at Oakland. Lucky for me he was a bike person. He decided to buy it and try to find me. He figured he would have a nice bike for cheap if he didn’t succeed. But we found each other relatively easily and I got my bike back almost 6 months after it was stolen from my garage.
