git rant…

with Xcode 14 I could hit ⌘⌥C, immediately type a commit message, then hit ⌘-return to complete the commit. git and I were both happy doing commits quickly.

with Xcode 15 I apparently have to first mouse click into the spot for the commit message... then I have do another mouse click on the Commit button.

Is there a way to set this back to the previous behavior?

Years ago they tried to downgrade the trailer I got -but they did eventually get what I had reserved. I wish I had checked the trailer tire pressure before the trip though.

Last time was a truck that was fine, just had to wait a lot because their computer system was down.

App Store developers:

If you have an app bundle, check your financial reports from the February period and later. It appears there was an accounting change, and you may be losing money on Complete My Bundle purchases!

With a Complete My Bundle purchase, the original app price is listed as a refund. The problem is that now, starting in Feburary, the bundle price is no longer listed at the full price but rather at the discounted price. So the original app price is getting subtracted twice!!!!!!!

I haven't used eBay in so long they apparently deleted my account. So now I have a new account. And now I have attempted to purchase a couple of old long-discontinued TTL chips from some seller in China for $11. I wonder what the odds are that I'll ever get the chips.. or that they'll work.. or how long it'll take. 😛

I didn't like that Apple crushing ad, either. I cringed.

I understand the conceit of the ad - cramming all of this stuff/capability into a single magical iPad - but the execution was in poor taste, IMO.

All I saw was wastefulness. It's one thing to run with the idea that someone can replicate all of those things they probably don't have using just this one device they could buy right now, but it's quite another to imply that all of it needed to be destroyed for the iPad to pop into existence.

Backstory - a family member just got a new Mac and wanted to run Sidecar (iPad as 2nd monitor/input device). It immediately just worked for them with Procreate & Pixelmator. For Adobe it didn't, and they pulled out an old Wacom tablet.

Mushrooms are weird! 😆

I met a mushroom farmer one time while I was hiking. If I ever meet him again I'd have more questions. It sounded like a pretty easy crop to grow.
