Today, I learned that diversity, equality and inclusivity is apparently a bad thing, and will kill a project? (From the comments under my latest news talking about ’s 5 year plan).

So, wanting people to feel comfortable contributing to a project is bad and woke now? Serisouly, what do they put in these people’s water? They’re going insane.

@thelinuxEXP keep doing what you're doing, Nick. those comments will filter themselves out eventually

If you don't use Bing with Edge, Microsoft will tell you your computer needs repairing.

They are not wrong.

To mend your machine:

  1. Ditch Windows
  2. Install Plasma
  3. Your computer is ready.

A laptop running the laters version of Plasma, Plasma 6.

I love KDE so much. If I didn't rely on certain creative software for work, I'd ditch macOS in an instant.
And I think that's one of the reasons people just aren't able to switch over from Windows.

But hey, every other computer in the house that isn't a Mac runs Fedora KDE. 😃

My ex had this rule, or sort of a philosophy I guess:

"Never feel bad about spending money on books."

And this made a lot of sense to me, at the time,

but this was before I actually realized

just how much money I am capable of spending on books

Question! Why should local governments use taxpayers’ money to buy proprietary, closed software from a single vendor? And what happens to citizens' data? A solution is to move to free and open source software like and – which is exactly what Schleswig-Holstein is doing: https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2024/04/04/german-state-moving-30000-pcs-to-libreoffice/

@libreoffice I appreciate the project and taking on MS but it does feel like stepping back in time 15 years when using Libre Office, especially with the lack of real time collaboration functions. There's a nice Arstechnica article about a demo from... 2012 that showcases this.
