was playing Dark Souls 2 and got invaded with hacked items

so now the inventory menu crashes the game, my account is shadow banned, and I have to delete the character

and it’s like a real curse, more interesting and powerful than any game lore or mechanic

thank you griefer for turning me to stone

Pretty funny - Nintendo Network shut down today finally and Wii U and 3DS device support ended.

Pretendo, an effort to keep devices online via homebrew, kept quiet an SSL bug which enables them to spoof being Nintendo Network via just a DNS server change 🤣🫡

Over the last two years I have been making the occasional YouTube video on some of the architectural decisions in making Puzzmo. Which I did in lieu of writing blog posts.

orta,

And then, this is what it looks like now.

orta,

It's cool to be able to say "This is what Puzzmo.com looked like on the first day I worked full time on it"

orta,

Either way, I'm starting to get close to being able to blog for Puzzmo, which I'm looking forwards to

The blog exists, https://blog.puzzmo.com/ but I've got to learn some more of Hugo to get it to a point where I'm proud of it.

The last month or two I've been working on some real under-the-scenes systemic changes which I think deserve a solid explanation of how cool it is.

I find it curious that this is even possible, given that Wordle itself was a straight rip of Lingo, which itself was in part based on existing mechanics. Games build on other games. The NYT denying that stops others from having the success Wordle itself enjoys.

Next Tuesday we'll be chatting with the legendary Eric Chahi (Out of This World/Another World, Future Wars, From Dust) on the show, primarily to talk about his incredible Paper Beast (which we can't recommend more highly in VR), and surely some other things too.

Send us your questions!

So much of what we're suffering in the US - and elsewhere - is due to the capture of income by the rich. To quote:

"How big is this elephant? A staggering $50 trillion. That is how much the upward redistribution of income has cost American workers over the past several decades.

This is not some back-of-the-napkin approximation. According to a groundbreaking new working paper by Carter C. Price and Kathryn Edwards of the RAND Corporation, had the more equitable income distributions of the three decades following World War II (1945 through 1974) merely held steady, the aggregate annual income of Americans earning below the 90th percentile would have been $2.5 trillion higher in the year 2018 alone. That is an amount equal to nearly 12 percent of GDP—enough to more than double median income—enough to pay every single working American in the bottom nine deciles an additional $1,144 a month. Every month. Every single year.

Price and Edwards calculate that the cumulative tab for our four-decade-long experiment in radical inequality had grown to over $47 trillion from 1975 through 2018. At a recent pace of about $2.5 trillion a year, that number we estimate crossed the $50 trillion mark by early 2020. That’s $50 trillion that would have gone into the paychecks of working Americans had inequality held constant—$50 trillion that would have built a far larger and more prosperous economy—$50 trillion that would have enabled the vast majority of Americans to enter this pandemic far more healthy, resilient, and financially secure."
