Can anyone make sense of this bit from a Reuters article on housing in Berlin?

„Housing cooperatives, which offer some of Berlin's most affordable apartments, scrapped two-thirds of their new building projects after the city's government announced a rent cap, saying it made them unviable.“

Apartments built after 2014 were always exempt from the cap, so by which mechanism did it make new building projects unviable?

So, wo will man denn jetzt in #Berlin seinen #Covid #Booster käuflich erwerben? Ich hab keinen Hausarzt und selbst wenn, wäre ja nicht mal klar, wer überhaupt noch impft. Es wird einem ja wirklich schwer gemacht.

Edit/Update: Danke für eure Empfehlungen. Ich habe jetzt einen Termin in der Panorama-Apotheke am Alex bekommen. Für Termin anrufen reicht. Es empfiehlt sich, gleich für 6 Leute zu buchen, weil das eine Vial ist, die sie dann für euch öffnen können, ohne was wegwerfen zu müssen.

I would really like it if I could buy combined train-flight trips that have the same privileges as multi-leg flight trips - that is, if I miss the connecting flight due to a delayed train, I’ll just get booked on the next flight without fuss or having to buy a whole new flight ticket.

I’d like that, because I’d very much like to avoid short-haul flights such as BER-FRA, but as it is, the likelihood of having to buy a new last-minute flight ticket is pretty high.

This is absolutely crazy stuff. Chinese hackers were able to get into a bunch of government email accounts by forging Microsoft access tokens, but how it happened is wild.

Apparently an internal Microsoft system responsible for signing consumer access tokens crashed, then a bug in the crash dump generator caused the secret key to be written to the crash dump. Microsoft's secondary system for detecting sensitive data in crash dumps also failed, allowing the crash dump to be moved from an isolated network to the corporate one. The Chinese hackers compromised a Microsoft engineer's account and were able to get a hold of the crash dump. They were not only able to find the key and figure out that it's responsible for signing consumer access tokens, but were also able to exploit a software bug to use it to sign enterprise access tokens too, basically giving them the keys to the kingdom.

So many security system had to fail for this to happen. Either the hackers were very lucky or extremely patient.

Anyone got experience with or can relate to the following?

I’ve lately been itching to go back to uni, to the point where it’s driving me a bit nuts. Since the opportunity cost of a move like that would be quite high, I’ve been trying to figure out what I’m really looking for here.
I think it’s the idea of having learning as a job again for a while, instead of having to get my learning in on the side and always in a rush. Plus, having peers to talk to who also have learning as their main job.
