Finished . Loved it. Would have loved 15 more minutes of the ending and watching people react to the big reveals (hi! the random beggar your family took in is now emperor!), but very good all around. Very cathartic.

I need more recs for happy, found family, make-you-smile-and-warm-your-heart type of dramas. I don't mind murder and chaos as long as my people have a happy ending. Recent likes have been #BlossomsInAdversity, #StoryOfKunningPalace, I also liked #JoyOfLife & #MeetYourself.

I was cancelled before the word even became a thing. It definitely changes you in a big way. For one, you realise the world is not black & white, and you see the irritational reactions of those who hold deep ideological beliefs when you decide to leave/change it. It's very much tribal. And you also get more empathatic to both sides of an ideology because you were once one of them. You also end up very allergic to triablism & tribal attitudes of all kind.

@mybarkingdogs Hehe what you said about church communities - my first experience of being cancelled was by my ex-church, who cut me off after I dared to criticised a pastor. I would have "friends" literally walk away when they saw me. The second time I got cancelled was when I opposed the Iraqi war, and American Christians proclaimed that I no longer exist to them. And I thought Christians were supposed to oppose war or something!

So happy I took the time to learn . It's going to be revolutionary for my vault. It'll help me create main topic pages to keep track of my notes. I used to manually link every note to a "MOC" but I kept forgetting and found it tedious. This is going to be a "leave it and let grow" thing, and it suits my brain immensely lol.
And how great it is that the
anticipated our annoyance with YAML and come up with the properties feature? Genius.

Finished vol.3. story is great but writing isn't as great. Or maybe the translation isn't great? Lots of telling rather than showing (we know the characters is awesome, but show us don't tell us why), lots of repetitive paragraphs about plots as if the reader has the memory of a gerbil and forgets plot points by the next chapter. Prob has something to do with its webnovel structure. The editor in me wants to pick up my red pen and hack away 🤪
Still, I enjoyed it.

It's funny how I wanted be my everything at first. I used it as a task manager, project manager etc. Now I've moved work-related stuff out of my vault. Now use my co's Confluence to store project & meeting notes for my knowledge base, and my tasks in Todoist.
My vault can now focus on what Obsidian does best - a note taking app for my passions rather than a productivity tool.

@msemochkin I use the Todoist plug in for that. Eleminates the decision for me lol. However, I am starting to favour a plain notebook for my tasks now lol

@Fury @andricheli I don't have Apple Reminders but I am experimenting with Tick Tick now for habits and repetitive tasks. Since I seem to be gravitating towards paper notebooks for work tasks right now I will just keep Todoist as an option 😁
