14May- What role do other writers have in your writing life?

They shaped me and my writing. My inspirations and shining examples are Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett. Also Ray Bradbury made a huge impact on me with his book "Zen in the Art of Writing". I love that one.

I am so freaking proud of my new base. It's really lovely and I had so much fun building it.

This game has such potential for creativity. The building blocks are much like Lego, really. And playing it helps me gain more confidence with problem solving, project management and tenaciousness. Never thought I'd get that much out of a simple game.

Have a look at my base. No, it's not perfect, but it's mine, as they say.

Okay, this might sound weird, but this is what I'm thinking of today. I'm assuming most of you know the idiom, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." I know it's about looking at the horse's teeth to check it's age and health, but in my heart I have an alternate history where it's about The Trojan Horse, which doesn't really even make much sense, but it's still living there rent free.

So, does anyone else do this, make up alternate histories for words or phrases? If you do, I'd love examples!

Bij Savvii hosting hebben ze hosting en mail nu uit elkaar getrokken en de prijs van mail meer dan verdubbeld. Klant gaat van 200 naar 450 euro per jaar. Ja, ze heeft daar drie weken voor haar contract afliep een mail over gehad en in alle drukte niet goed gelezen dus nu pas over een jaar daar weg. Schofterig vind ik zo'n prijsverhoging.

Messing about with #Krita and the tablet.

#Drawing of Hexia, whose hat got stuck to a tree. Her hands are caught in something growing from the tip of her witchy hat (so I avoid drawing hands 😂 ). She even has her feet propped up against the tree in an attempt to get her hands and her hat free.
