think about this: Biden has 100% thrown in with Netanyahu at this point. politically, he now owns whatever Israel does.

but Netanyahu doesn't want Biden to be president. he wants Trump to be president.

so now the worse the atrocities Israel commits, the better it is politically for Netanyahu because it will further erode Biden's base of support and bring Trump closer to a second term.

it's an incredibly perverse incentive.

i don't know the circumstances here, but when i see stuff like this i wonder if spending tons of time finding the perfectly-qualified person for a job means that when you actually find one, whoops, they are also perfectly qualified for lots of other jobs??? (1/2)

i'm just speaking as someone who will soon be looking for jobs like this and holy cow, according to the job postings, you better either have a friend inside or be God Themself to even get through the algorithmic filter.

it's jarring on one hand seeing tons of people out there saying they can't get a job, and then on the other hand seeing employers complain that it's impossible to find anyone. something is broken.

the worst thing about all this is it's happening in liberal institutions, under liberal leadership, ie - the people who are supposed to be the good guys and who are asking for your vote in November to stop fascism. those are the people who have invited heavily-armed cops and right-wing brawlers onto college campuses to attack students.
