@nomadgeek I don't consider Lemmy (or Kbin or whatever other Reddit-alikes) active enough for a nerdfighter instance to be worth the money, but if someone else has a different judgement about that and decides to make one then I'd probably join

Jebus. Deleting a user that had 1 follower (me) adds a TON of jobs for the server to complete letting all other servers know they are gone. Started about 5k. (the old bot user I made)

Early voting opens tomorrow and there's not one contested race in my precinct. 🙄 There are two ballot questions about amending some obscure part of the city Constitution. This is going to be a record low turnout.

@sarahv I kinda envy you tbh. My ballot has both chambers of the state legislature, county commissioners, mayor, township council, and board of education. And two of the board of education candidates have implied some transphobia. Halp 🥲

@sarahv yeah i hear you; the city my university is in has a similar thing, it's very democrat leaning. that's part of why I stay registered in my hometown, cuz federally I'm in a swing district & it's only like 20 mins away anyway

NYPD robot cop can't go down or up stairs by itself, but "patrols" the subway. I put it in quotes because it seems to need 5 human cops in order to be out in public.

Remote work had really broken the job market, hasn’t it? Sure, you can apply to work anywhere… so every job instantly has 1,000+ applicants, and employers instantly reject most of them, including people who they would’ve at least given an interview years ago. If you’re not 100% perfect for the job, exactly what they’re looking for right out of the gate, you have no shot. And how many people really are 100% perfect for any job without training?

re: our conversation from a few days ago... apparently a bandcamp-like site that is still 100% independent does exist. bc-like in the sense that one can stream and purchase music. the layout isn't that different either. 85% of proceeds to the artist. check it out and let me know what you thing, but it looks promising to me so far.

Ok, question to folks that already had : did you notice any changes in your dreams at night?
Since my infection my dreams have become very life-like, very intense. I tend to dream 2-3 unrelated story segments each night. I mostly remember what I dreamed after waking up. They are usually no nightmares, but neither „happy dreams“. More like a continuation of the real world…
This happened maybe 3-4 times a year before the infection.

@dec_hl My first infection was in June 2022 and I'm recovering from my second one now; I don't recall any noticeable differences in my dreams in either case, though I don't typically remember my dreams
