@evilcookies98 Yeah, that's some shitty stuff there certainly. Guy wants to hang anyone he suspects of being LGBT. If he's elected, he'll basically kill anyone he doesn't like and it'll all be above board by the law of the United States. Scary shit.

@evilcookies98 Speaking as a member of the LGBT community, I'd say I'm glad I don't live in SC. It's gonna be crazy if this guy is elected. Id imaginhe one of two things will happen. He's gonna go all out with the killings. Or the people in DC are gonna do something and stop him from making that policy change. I hope the latter.

Just bought screen reader, also known as Commentary. I don't know how to close apps and it seems to work best in landscape orientation. Any idea how to make it work with portrait orientation and how to close apps?

@evilcookies98 I just turned on multi-finger gestures and it works the way I want it except for that it works better in landscape mode.

Just wondering what people think of eSIMS? I'm considering switching to one. I know there are several advantages and disadvantages. From what I've been reading, it'll be much easier to transfer an eSIM to a new device. At least that's how it seems by reading the instructions on my carrier's site.

I seriously do not understand the difference between UEB and whatever I learned when I was little. I’ve been working with it for days now and nothing looks any different.

@evilcookies98 I was there when they got rid of the old Braille code. At the very meeting where the voting took place. It isn't that different but by God when I was a kid, it really pissed me off.

@evilcookies98 It was hilarious I competed in the Braille Challenge as a kid twice without studying the Braille Code at all. First time, I got 3rd place in my region, second time, I won it.

In the last few months, we went from AI music being a curiosity you needed a good Linux box to play with, to something pretty crappy but looking somewhat interesting, to... this.

@miki Yeah I know. I love the fade out and everything. I mean the artifacts are still there and all. But that's a small price to pay for what I'm thinking is someone typing some lyrics and stuff into the AI and having it be generated. You have to wonder how much all this costs to do per user. I'm thinking $20 per song or so.

How hard is it to get one of those annual licenses for jaws? I have not changed my mind about wanting one, even if it is for one piece of software. Who knows, I might actually end up liking it. While I have your attention, let me ask you this, Which screen reader has better touchscreen support? I have the touchscreen and I’m going to use it.

@evilcookies98 I can answer the first question. It's pretty easy. Just search up Freedom Scientific Licensing portal and then create an account and buy it, it should download a file that both installs and activates JAWS for you.

The applause company reversed there decision on a subscription for vdr. Yet another example of blind entitlement and arm-twisting winning the day instead of reasonable discussion on people paying fairly for a good product. Leave it to the entitled to never want to gain without losing something in return.

@evilcookies98 @LeonianUniverse @gocu54 Does it have Bookshare access? PDF reader? And all of the other features Apple gets with VDR? If I'm going to pay for this, I want everything VDR has with no exclusions. Android users shouldn't be left out simply because we're not willing or are unable to get an Apple device.
