A friend of mine's husband is trying to trap her by making her sign a contract saying she wont divorce him until their 2yo is 18. He's a fucking asshole and I want to help her get out, but she can't afford a lawyer.

I spent most of the day playing Control and now I’m in a bad mood.

Why is this game so hard? I just want the story, I don’t want to beat my head against NPCs repeatedly while dodging rockets and trying not to fall off ledges. If I was into video game masochism, I’d buy Dark Souls!

I used a game save editor to deck myself out with talents and its STILL frustratingly hard. At this point I’m tempted to uninstall it and find out the ending from youtube.

I wanted to try something new and interesting for this #DwarfFortress embark, so I picked a haunted region near a dark elf tower and a bunch of dark goblin pits. Thought it would spice things up!

When the snow started to melt, it uncovered the landscape... which is SOAKED in human blood. Everything, everywhere, just nothing but blood. Even the frozen river is covered in blood.

I... I think I got what I wanted...

My daughter asked me why angels are always depicted as men with wings, which left me thinking for a bit, because, yeah, that isn’t in the bible. Cherubs have wings, but they aren’t angels, and Gabriel is always described as just a man in a white robe. So I looked it up.

You know what I would love to see Microsoft do with the Halo franchise? Pull a “Disney acquiring Lucasfilm”

Rewind the series to Halo 3, declare the 343 era books as non-canonical, and remake Halo 4 and 5 following Joe Staten’s original vision of the forerunners being human. Have Cortana’s rampancy arc play out the same, but this time it all happens on Requiem, combining the two games. Most of Halo Infinite wouldn’t even change.

Wondering if anyone can help me here… for years now I’ve been trying to find a book that I loved as a kid. I am almost certain that it was called The Marmalade War… it definitely had marmalade in the title. It’s an illustraded book about two twins defending themselves from a sticky antagonist that is covered in orange marmalade. At the end of the book its revealed the villain is their older sibling. It’s basically a story about child make-believe.

I have no idea who the author was. #bookstodon

I think I want to replace my TrueNAS setup with something #linux based. None of the iocage configs work any more, and its getting harder to find software that supports freebsd outright.

Anybody have any suggestions for #NAS web frontends? I’d be putting it on a four year old core i5. It needs to do easy raid management (zfs is a plus) and docker virtualization (so I can spin up containerized services).

I was thinking maybe a Portainer setup.
