Birthday gift from my 17 year old was a Gambit figure from 1994. We’ve been bonding over and he has gotten to know the characters. We’ve watched some together too. Very thoughtful…he is a good kid.

We bookend this issue with another Alan Davis pinup, this time showing Kitty Pryde repairing some electronics as her pet dragon Lockheed looks on!

"I hope you don't expect me to save you, 'cause I don't do that anymore".

All shot practically using figures and miniatures. I digitally added some stubble to Evil Supermans face and a red glow in his eye and desaturated his suit to make him look grubby.

This scene used to upset me when I was a kid I hated superman being evil 😂

@robotwig is this one of yours?

@gary_bbgames No I've never sold prints of my work that size and nearly all my shots are landscape. I don't know who did that but that looks like an expensive Michael Myers figure

@MarvelStudios will we see Kahhori again? I just leaned of her character in What If…? And loved her character so much.

“what would happen if the Tesseract fell to Earth & landed in the sovereign Haudenosaunee Confederacy before the colonization of America … leading Kahhori, a young Mohawk woman, on a quest to discover her power.”

What a bunch of a-holes. Glorious, entertaining a-holes. My ★★★★ review of Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/6xf3TX #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy #Marvel #MCU #Letterboxd

The point where the MCU began to officially take on its own shape. My ★★★½ review of Thor (2011) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/6vsmPt #Thor #Marvel #MCU #Letterboxd

@jthomas411mania While Guardians 1-3 overtook it as my favourite MCU films, I still adore this one. I agree entirely with you that Hemsworth deserved way more credit for finding the core of Thor very quickly.

Finished X-Men '97 - what an epic finale 🤯 Tolerance is Extinction – Part 3. Best tv show I watched this year. Can't get enough of the Newton Brothers banger tracks - is there a full OST release already? Couldn't find it on Tidal yet.

is some of the best work has done in years. People who complain about 'comic accuracy' don't understand that what the does best is take the BEST elements of several stories to tell one cohesive story and tell it well.

“Trial of Magneto,” Lifedeath,” “Inferno,” “E is for Extinction,” “Operation: Zero Tolerance,” Fatal Attractions.” All there, & more.

Thad,
@Thad@brontosin.space avatar

@jacklaridian I definitely remember being baffled when the original X-Men cartoon blew through long-running stories like the Legacy Virus, the Age of Apocalypse, and The Phalanx Covenant in two episodes each.

Re-watching the series as an adult, I was really impressed by the economy of storytelling. Looking back, the comics told these long, meandering stories without knowing where they were going, and the TV series rolled right through to give them actual resolutions.

18+ Uraael,

@Thad @jacklaridian There are advantages to letting a story become backdrop for a while, e.g the legacy virus, but the economy absolutely works for an action show like X-Men. That said, there is also too quick; the adaptation of Inferno felt very short-changed. I'd have taken another episode of that over weight-loss Mojo.

Rogue (and in the last ep Cyclops) using fight moves from Marvel vs Capcom is beautiful
